PAL Wait Time

Yes.
My status on IWS changed to "...your license has been issued" on December 10th, 20211. At about 11 pm on December 12th, I emailed the CFO Ontario requesting my RPAL details. The address is CFOON@cfp-pcaf.ca.
Shortly after 8 am on December 13th, I received a response containing my license details. I was able to use that information to purchase a firearm online. Nearly a month later, I still do not have the printed card.

My issued on 1st Dec 2022. No card in mail yet. Just sent them an email for status of card print, mail and license number.

Did the online application on dec 11, checked IWS today and it says "Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued." that seems amazingly fast. Does this mean i can call and get my PAL number now? Is there any other way to find it before the card shows up? Im in BC BTW.\

Called and got # and expiry. Was genuinely concerned i had a glitch on my account, but nope, was approved 3 days after 28 day waiting period. They said it would be printed this week or next, and should be delivered by the end of the month. FWIW my CC was charged immediately after submitting the online application.

Seriously I’m on the same boat, they received mine in April and I’m seeing people here who sent theirs in in November and already got it, bunch of clowns that are in charge of this.

they recieved mine in April as well with no movement except initial review completed , once i called them towards end of November and emailed it magicaly got approved almost Immediately

Guess the PAL is getting a new look as of this month, shame I'll never have the experience of having the old look of the past 28 years.

My PAL took a few months but I am still waiting for a pistol transfer from the beginning of August. I know that JT was the cause of thousands of sales before the deadline but I want my pew pew.

Who was handeling your case ?

I have been waiting since February 2022. No matter who i ask, all i receive is standard form letter. Anyone else in Alberta waiting that long for the RPAL?

I applied back in July and on the individual web services page it says the initial review has been completed and nothing else, no card info or anything

Update on my PAL/RPAL.

sent in January 2022. cfo received it in may 2022. I was told that the application sits with the cfo for 9 months before they assign it to an officer. called dec 1 and was told if i dont have it by mid December then to call back. called back and was told they will expedite it as its been past their time line. called before christmas break and was told should have it in my hand by 2nd week of jan 2023. called now and was told to call again next month. no flags on my account so not sure what the hell is happening with my application.

What did they tell you when you called them last apart from calling back next month?

just that my file was waiting to be assigned to an officer. i asked if there was any flags, was told no, file is good just needs to be reviewed and that they were backed up.
