That's quick! That's about my timeline, I mailed mine out Nov. 2, recieved in Mirimichi Nov. 9. I sent a money order (stupidly) so I don't know when it was cashed. That being said I have passed the initial processing and am now in progress.

I'm hoping with our applications arriving around the same time mine gets issued soon! No criminal history, no boxes checked.... Here's to hoping!!!

You should be soon. My app was recieved on the 6th. Had no boxes checked. I do have multiple items of history lol. But all beaten casss and 15 years old. What range will you be shooting at? We should meet up for a celebratory pissing away of money when we both have em range ready and legal.

LMFAO I'm planning to be shooting at Silverdale as it's 10-15 minutes from my house. I certainly do plan to piss away all my money as soon as I get it in. Gotta get my AR15!

You're on the same timeline as me. Received Nov 9th, no boxes checked. My wallet is waiting!

Current timeline for my application. Located in Calgary, AB:

Sept. 22, 2018 - Completed CFSC (Only completed non-restriction portion as I hate shooting handguns and don't have the money for it)
Sept. 26,2018 - Mailed in application to Miramichi, only for Non-restricted PAL
Oct. 1, 2018 - Received at RCMP office, confirmed by registered mail (all days counted from this day forward)
Nov. 1, 2018 - Application status online "Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date." (22 business days, 31 total days)
Nov. 2, 2018 - CC charged (23 business days, 32 total days)
Nov. 14, 2018 - Called RCMP number to check on application. Was told timeline could range anywhere from 45 - 90 days for completion (30 business days, 44 total days)
Nov. 26th, 2018 - Called again to check. Was told there was no issues and that I was still within the specified 45 - 90 days for completion. Instructed to call back in 9 weeks (LOL) if I still didn't have the licence. (39 business days, 56 total days)
Dec. 4th, 2018 - Called again to check. Was told that the typical completion time was 45 BUSINESS days and that I was still within that window. Current application was in its final stage of review prior to being sent off to the Alberta CFO for final approval. Instructed to call back if I still didn't have my card in hand by the end of the month (44 business days, 64 total days thus far)

I'm amazed that it is taking this long for me to only get a non-restricted PAL. I didn't check off any boxes, have no criminal history, and have no previous exes I need to worry about.

I'm a little annoyed as I missed the black Friday sales and will most likely miss the boxing day sales as well. Winchester is having a wicked sale with a rebate on their PA SXP models and I would have loved to scoop one of those up before the new year.

Update:
December 12th - Checked online. "Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued".

50 business days, 72 total days. No references called. Time to put a dent in that credit card.

Anyone here dealed with Quebec CFO recently?

I called RCMP yesterday, they told me my application is in final stage, with the quebec cfo, and that it should not be very long from there and to call back in 2 weeks if I dont have my PAL.

So my hope was high but on the other end some people on another thread were told by quebec cfo that the waiting time is currently 4-6 months in CFO which is crazy.

If RCMP told me its in final process and to call back in two weeks, its because they know something I dont, or I'll wait till april for the cfo?

So I just called the RCMP, and the very polite and pleasant lady informed me everything looks good on my application, the payment went through ok and they aren't requesting any more information at this point. She said "it's in the middle of the processing and will be sent to the CFO after this. It is not in their hands yet. Feel free to call back within the next couple weeks for an update." Ugh so much for boxing Day deals lol. At least the lady was pleasant...

Man if any constellation. I was told the same thing. Licence issued like 8 days later ish. I know how miserable the not knowing is. I can say it’s white frustrating. But the end is nesr. If they didn’t require more info that’s a good sign and you might be in the non flagged pile. I know I can say it could be almost here. But the negativity doesn’t allow it. I was there 2 days ago. Watched the pistol I wanted sell out nation wide in 2 hours. Next day got the licence number. And ordered all of it. In an hour. My wife will #### when the visa bill comes. But just keep checking online. And hopefully soon buddy.

I will keep coming to check on the thread here as I feel for everyone in limbo still and want to see how the time lines turn out for all of you fellas.

So I finally got the call from the officer in charge of my file yesterday, saying that he was giving the go on my application. It took 468 days and roughly 30-40 calls, but it's finally in the mail! I don't know if this was the spur that kicked the camel into gear, but I sent an email to the address given to me (cfp-pcaf@rcmp-grc.gc.ca) by one of the information officers two days beforehand, and two days later I got my final interview and confirmation.

This is awesome! Yours was super fast too. Same as mine to the day. Mine was issued Tuesday. What is the first purchase gonna be?
Now we have to wait for the card. Transfers. And registration and ####. There’s got to be a thread for that we can bellyache in as we have another month plus of waiting.

I really haven't decided yet! I said to myself when I first passed my course that the first gun I wanted was an AR15. However, I need to join a club and get an ATT before I can even purchase a restricted firearm. So I don't know yet. I'll have to go to NAS Guns and Ammo to see what they have. I have a 10% off coupon there so that will help.

I'm going to try calling to see if I can get my PAL number and expiration date so I can give it to the club I want to join. Then I can get to buying online lol.

What are you thinking for your first?

Called in today. Told application still has to go to CFO (day 38). I don't understand how some go to there CFO offices so quickly and others don't. Located in alberta btw.

I think it all depends on the provincial CFO. It seems here in Ontario it's pretty quick, but in Alberta and BC it seems to drag on. Don't fret though, I was told the same thing two days ago. Today it was issued.
