PAL Wait Time

Don't worry, frend. I mailed in my RPAL application at the end of February and it was received there March 5th. My credit card was charged and it showed up online yesterday. I imagine yours will show up in the next couple days.

so based on what you said, I sent my application in on may 18 and was received may 25. I should expect to see it online sometime in late august/early September? so much for shooting this year then...
 
Applied for renewal of my RPAL in January. 16 days later, I received my new RPAL
Well before I needed it. Bit of a surprise, to be sure. I'm happy with it, of course.

Mine was set to expire first week of June, I sent in the online renewal with a couple days left in May.... they approved same week of expire & sent out card, the online system for renewals seems to be working quick!
 
Submitted my renewal in late March with expiry in early May. Has sat at "Your application has completed initial processing". My buddy submitted his at the same time with almost the same expiry and got his last week.

Hehe that's what it should take for us normal people, in my case it took them 3 and a half months just to open my application so I don't have much faith in their operation :)

Going by what they said it also seems they send the photo's somewhere to get scanned.
 
I have been waiting since March 14th here. My buddy is training now to teach the courses. He says they are looking at September now because of covid.
 
Quebec PAL/RPAL application, first time no checked boxes, clean history


-19 December 2019: registered mail Application received in Miramichi.
- 6 January 2020: Credit card charged and appears online.
-16 January 2020: I receive an envelope from RCMP mentioning I need to do an in person filing for RPAL (QC thing), did it and mailed it registered same day.
-20 January 2020: In person QC RPAL application received in Miramichi
-22 April 2020: I called RCMP to inquire about the status, informed me its with the QC CFO
-22 April 2020: Called QC CFO and the guy interviewed me and my 2 references.
- 4 May 2020: I got another call from Surete QC, it was a lady and did the same interview again, she also requested on of my references call in for interview.
-15 May 2020: I called the Quebec CFO to follow-up, said it needs a final "click" for approval, they suggested I send in a club membership, I sent a copy of my club membership same day
- 20 May 2020: Status showed as Approved on theRCMP site, I called in and got my PAL number. Lady mentioned My card is not printed yet
-16 June 2020: Finally received my PAL in the mail!!!

181 days, 123 working days and finally got my card.

Now I have to wait for my first handgun transfer, initiated May 21st :bangHead:

Same status since early March.
 
Quebec RPAL renewal. Expires July 2020
Submitted online April 2nd
Approved April 14th.
Card issued June 10th
Card received today June 17th.
Now if I can only get my transfer approved. 9 weeks now. Spoke to the Quebec Ombudsman last Friday. Hopefully that might speed things up..

Truly impressed you got a printed card, the printers are shut down according to the RCMP.
