PAL Wait Time

My CC was charged Jan 26th and I'm still waiting for approval. Zero boxes checked, zero criminal record

Have you tried sending an email to the Ontario CFO? I know of someone who sent them an email asking for an update, they responded quite quickly that they needed some additional info - but never bothered to inform him. Once they received that, approval was in a couple of days.

Haven't emailed but called them Monday and was told it would likely be a week or two yet because they only got my stuff from the RCMP on the 28th. They said everything looked fine. Which makes no sense considering others on here in Ontario had CC charged and approved a few days apart. The whole process seems so wack.

They are processing at a good speed now, good luck everyone

That seems to be vary greatly by province, and sometimes within the same province. Give it a couple of days and call your provincial CFO office if possible. A lot of people get approved quickly when doing that, others don't, and some provinces you're not able to call the provincial CFO at all (only an answering service like in NS).

I wonder if any one knows the extension for Newfoundland

Don't know if it's true or not, but saw someone recently mentioned on r/CanadaGuns that Newfoundland applications are processed by the NS CFO - if that's true, maybe you will have better luck than me - CC was charged on 22 Jan, and no movement since then. When calling the CFP call centre on 1-800-731-4000 you can ask them to transfer you to your provincial CFO, or what the extension is.
