PAL Wait Time

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to what is now a reasonable amount of time to expect the full processing of a PAL. I mailed in all my paperwork on May 29th 2012, and saw online that my application became active on June 7th 2012. In late June my application was marked as "completed initial processing and now in progress". Just a note ALL my paperwork was 100% correct all T's crossed and I's dotted. The website says you can expect about a 45 day processing time, am I right to be thinking things are taking a little long, or is 60 plus day just the norm these days. Thanks in advance:
Mine took about 6 weeks

My online application for a new PAL was received by them Aug 19, and all references approved within 24hrs of submitting. I have called twice and emailed and told each time that it's being processed and that I need to just wait...

I just checked on my PAL renewal application, which I submitted online Oct.10th... Says my application has been processed and licence has been issued... But it doesn't say the day it was issued... So, 5 weeks processing time is my guess...

I submitted Oct. 28 for my renewal, today was the first time I checked. Processed and issued, no date. Now stuck with CP. I feel bad for people who have to wait so long.

I just helped my ol buddy renew his PAL last week. It was mailed in on Wednesday, Octember 22nd. For chits and giggles, I'll repost here when it arrives. Counting the days for curiosity sakes and comparisons. I'm in Hfx NS...if that has any bearing on it at all.

Dammmm...forgot all about this post/thread...sorry nutZ
My bud's PAL arrived the week of Nov 12 th - 15 th...he only checked his mailbox on that friday (15th)
Helluva good turn around time !!!

Located in Ontario, the license was issued yesterday, the first weekday after the 28-day mandantory wait time. Hope I can get it before boxing day.

Apparently my PAL / RPAL was in the mail 3 weeks ago...
Canada Post is now the reason I don't have it.

Applied July 15/2024 - still nothing.

PAL in BC

Couriered to Miramichi- arrived Nov 22
CC charged Dec 4
Dec 21 status changed to Issued

Now just have to wait for Canada Post strike to get my license. Going to definitely miss the Christmas sales...

Now I start my RPAL application (I know...I know...)

Just applied on line for my PAL and RPAL.

the instructor informed us that his classes all apply online and have their license in 6 weeks.

I applied online today and will update once i have my approval and license.

This is in BC

Submitted mine online, stayed in touch with Miramichi, they said it was approved about 2 weeks in but you must wait the 28 day waiting period. After that it was in the printing process, I arranged FedEx to overnight deliver it (I highly suggest using somewhere like Secureship to make it cheap, not advertising, use anyone you want except the FedEx website lol). Picked up 2 days after it was in the printing process.

Got it overnight delivered to SK in one day, total wait time was about 31 days. If you want to use any other courier, make sure to contact the CFP office to have them pull it from the "Canada Post Bin" and fax over the label, make sure to reference your PAL# somewhere on it (I just put my license # on the label I faxed).

I called them today since my renewal was approved mid November. The lady said that they waited to send the batch out until December 29. Sure enough, received it today. Isn't it always like that?

Should have renewed it in 2023 just to get it before your bday
I submitted my RPAL renewal application online on Oct.10th & finally got it Dec.23rd after the Canada Post strike resolved.

The date of issue on the letter was November 8th... So, renewal time was less than a month...

I submitted mine last June and got it in October. Couldn’t use my guns for 2 weeks…

Well, sent in application late May 14th, references filled out May 15th (shows as received the 14th), currently June 13th so my 28 day waiting period ended yesterday. Still sitting on "completed initial review". Wondering if I should call in and be the "squeaky wheel" or wait another week. Fwiw I'm in BC, but I had to check the history of depression box (I was honestly that I was in a rough spot a few years ago but I provided paperwork from a registered councilor I used to get back into university last year as well as my pilot's license that requires a doctor to sign off on medical history include mental wellness).
Update: It's been over 8 months of waiting now and I've been calling in monthly. In August I called the BC CFO and it got moved to an officer, where it's been with for review ever since. If I don't get it soon I will be following up with my MP or MLA. 8 months is a long time to wait for.
