Panzer M4 Speed Pro thread

what's everyone's experience been with the initial cleaning. I found it challenging disassembling the barrel and trigger group. Reassembling the barrel was a challenge as well.

Does it improve once it's been broken in?
Got M4 Speed Pro recently.

Initial cleaning was fine just remove excessive oil especially from the gas system. It must be dry, tubes and rods.

ATTENTION: Contrary to some videos on the internet one needs to push forward part of the bolt release to remove the trigger pack (after the trigger pin removal, of course).
Otherwise there is risk of some damage to a plastic part of the trigger pack.

After the first range trip gas piston caps became loose. Should I use a bit of blue loctite or just keep tightening them?

Also I noticed that after 80 rounds there is a fair amount of barrel crud (wad plastic?) in the gas system tubes and pistons are not that free floating.
Is the system supposed to run dirty like e.g. self sealing or need to clean gas tubes often?

The gun was quite reliable after some initial hickup which could have been a user error.

What type of shells are you using? There shouldn't be any plastic in the gas system.

Something something picture 1000 words.
I did not take picture before cleaning the tubes.

However still related questions:

Is the system supposed to run dirty like e.g. like Beretta's B-LINK or need to clean gas tubes often? What is your experience?

I would only use mild Loctite if that's the only way you can keep the caps tight, but if so try it. They (M4 and clones) are supposed to run quite clean (should really run flawlessly for 1000's between cleanings), and that is my experience with them. Perhaps yours is dirty because of running it with loose screws? Fix that first and go from there.

Thank you. I shall check after the next range trip.

Considering the large size of the barrel gas ports it is hard to see how some leading and plastic would not get into the tubes.

What part of disassembly/reassembly specifically do you mean? Putting the barrel back in the receiver, or the handguard onto the barrel, or the pistons onto the barrel, etc.
I had a tough time removing barrel and getting it to sit flush. Same with the trigger group. I wouldn't come straight out and so i had to do a lot of wiggling around to remove it.

For the barrel it may just take some wiggling and or back and forth to make sure its straight to get it in. Force won't help, just jiggle/wiggle until it goes in all the way. For the trigger group, pull it slightly forward while removing and clicking the bolt release at the same time can also help. When putting the trigger group back make sure its seated all the way to the rear.
