Panzer M4 Speed Pro thread

hey XON50, how did you install your match saver in that position along the handguard? I just picked up the Speed Pro and there seems to be something blocking me from installing the match saver nice and flush. Not sure how to attach photos but here is a link to where I uploaded my image https://ibb.co/MkTL2kvC

I also saw that you've shot some slugs out of it. Are you using the breacher/cylinder choke for slugs? I saw that in the manual, it said to only use slugs with the cylinder choke, and while the breacher choke looks all cool and aggressive, it seems to be a bit obnoxious to take around.

Thanks in advance!

Mine didn’t come with a breecher choke. Not sure if they do come with them.
I’ve put hundreds of slugs through the installed skeet choke tho

https://ibb.co/2Yp6zcHW is a link to the breacher choke that came with my Panzer. It has a full choke (one notch), modified choke (three notches), and this big ole aggressive one that I think doubles as a cylinder choke?

I think that's also a cylinder choke, but like you said, its big and gets in the way. I had mine on for a while but it adds length and the teeth get caught on everything, especially the case I had it in. I swapped back to a regular cylinder for now until I need to do some door breaching lol.

For the match saver, mine is in that position too, I dont remember what I did but I remember it was a bit of a pain. I think maybe you attach it after the handguard is off and slide it back on with some force?

Thanks! Yeah, I also think the breacher choke is wide enough to be considered a cylinder choke. The issues of the teeth getting caught on things is definitely one of the reasons why I don’t want to put it on. Did you have to buy a separate cylinder choke so you can shoot slugs?

You’re probably right that I need to take the hand guard off to fit the matchsaver on and then put the hand guard back on. Didn’t want to deal with all that fuss as someone pretty inexperienced but I’ll just be careful. Thanks!

I use the modified cylinder choke that came with it ( the 3 notches) and its been fine for slugs and buckshot.

Hey,

The match saver is finicky to install. I made sure it was pushed back against the handguard and the mloks had enough space between the rails to tighten in. It took me a few times, but got it on without having to take off the handguard.

Mine did not come with the aggressive breacher choke, I just use the cylinder choke it came with.

Ahh thank you! Good to know that you didn't have to take off the handguard. I still haven't gotten around to it.

I guess maybe the more recent purchases were paired with the breacher choke. Since SCnBEER has been able to use a modified cylinder choke for his slugs, I shall do the same. Thanks!

Following this thread! I am interested in this Panzer shottie as a John Wick range toy.

p.s. maybe if it came with a 24" barrel, then I could potentially justify it as an "over-caffeinated skeet gun" purchase, LOL

My brother bought one at Reliable in Vancouver. The counter guy was very helpful. I was concerned about reliability, because it is a Turk. He said they have one as a rental on the range and it has shot thousands of rounds with no problem. We took it to the range. Shot Federal #4 birdshot and Troy 00 Buck. Ran perfectly. Noticeably less recoil than a pump. The barrel porting worked well to reduce muzzle flip.

I was surprised that the paddle lever on the side has two functions. Push the front end and it is a bolt release. Push the rear, with the floor pate pushed up, and the mag tube empties. Nice.

I might get one too...

Bullseye North has the Panzer Speed Pro on sale. I ordered a Walnut version through their website, and the Panzer shottie arrived in Alberta today.

It came with mlok pic rails, handstop, three Mobil chokes, a choke keywrench, a shell saver/holder, and a breacher choke/muzzlebrake.

I disassembled the Panzer, wiped off the packing oil (which was not that much), and lubed the ARGO piston o-rings. Checked for burrs in the feed path, found none. Checked all the fasteners for tightness. Then did a laser boresighting on the living room wall.

I will do its break-in shooting this weekend... Looking forward to trying out this new toy!
