The first ones made were all Canadian, before they moved to the US. Those 1445 double stacks worked fine. After it seems there were some QC issues with the 40's, ask Dill about it, he had a guy with a lazy eye or depth perception issues grind the rail on his IIRC

I just came into one that was never fired, it is stamped "made in Canada". It was part of a multi gun trade (my NR Kriss for three handguns).
I don't plan on shooting it either, it does make a nice piece of wall hung art though!

Figured I'd ask in here rather than start a new thread.
I bought one of these last year (i'm not going to say how much for fear of ridicule but I will say it wasn't anywhere close to $3,200) and it's one of the most accurate handguns I own. It's a single action, single stack .45ACP. It came with 5 para ordnance mags.
The only issue I have with it is when the magazine is empty, the slide will (95% of the time) go forward not letting me know that it's time to change mags.
I figure this could either be a problem with the mags or with the slide catch lever. Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this??

If it happens with all of your mags, look at the slide-stop. It may be slightly deformed.
Many people number their mags with a little sticker on the bottom so that they can isolate problem mags. Try that first as it is the easiest thing to do, and see how the mags perform.

.....yep I've shot the Para and was not impressed. Alot of better options in a 1911 platform and usually easier on the wallet as well. My .02
someone may correct me, but I believe they are not even Canadian made.....marketing....mere marketing I'm afraid
the used to be made in toronto years ago till employees started selling un stamped frames out the back door . when the partner dies TOM moved the company to fort lauderdale florida and since has sold it to remington i hade one that was stamped toronto,canada
