Parker hale m82-m87-C3-C3A1 Rifles

Hi Guys.
I have a ZF69 that I have decided to part with. It came out of Gov. Surplus. What should I be asking for it. It is a Canadian C3 scope. Bullet drop comp.
I also have PH rings and bases, the alum ones.
I guess while I am at it a C3 stock.
Thanks for your help.

Rebuilt ZF 69's were going for $650 5 years back at one of the sponsors of this site.
I let a new unused, unbedded PH stock with recoil pad and 4 spacers go for 170 on this site, now I need one. Used stocks only for 40-50 bucks each.

Well I thought I had bought 1 ZF69 and wound up with 2 of them. Both are in super shape. Going to part with the one that has the 30mm steel rings with the ballistic inserts that take it down to 26mm. Rings look to be MK4s. both scopes have pristine glass with only very light ring marks. I would post pictutrs but my upload and download speeds on this land line take forever 21.6k is the fastest I ever see.
Regards

black stock

Hi FrankCJ7, can you please advise where the black stock came from as pictured in your posting? I have the identical piece with the P-H stud in front and mine came from Gagetown area.

Am heading to Sam Adams, Gunsmith, who will install Rock 5R barrel on Super Clip action and Near M1913 base, NF UL rings and this McMillan stock; also 2-stage CG trigger chosen over original P-H of which I have 2. Have original C3 mags.

Regards,

Peter

Hi,

There is a number marked on the bolt handle, can someone tell me what that number is? The thing is, we have 2 C3A1 where I work that are identified with such ''ID number'' on the bolt handle. I'm just curious if that rifle ever was in our hands.

Can anyone pm me the c3a1 barrel profile dimensions? I could of sworn i saw it here somewhere, but i just sifted through the whole thread and couldn't find it...

I've tried contacting Rob McLellan about buying a barrel but i haven't had any response from him. I looking for some other options...

Call Casey at Tac Ord, he has done one I know of for a C3A1 and he does get McLellan barrels.

I thought I'd add to this awesome thread :)
As of late I've been a C3 junkie.

My 1200TX Parker Hale in M82 wood and bottom metal.
Need a replacement parker hale recoil pad, parker hale hand stop / spigot bipod, Parker Hale mounting pads and 26mm Parker Hale rings would be the cat's ass!

PH5E and front sight are on the books but low on the priority list. Funds Funds Funds! These projects are expensive!

Currently wearing a Photonics NF 84 6X42 with Kahles #104 range finding reticle and cammed for the M118 match round. I'd prefer a ZF69 but this may have to do for the time being..... I couldn't pry delta1's spare scope away from him... I'm so keen on turning this into a C3 replica that I'm selling my Kahles ZF 84 and Kimber Tactical to do so. I'm crazy - At least I've been told...

Thinking of having this rifle sent off for a bead blast - parkerized and suncorited / Duracoated. We'll see how that goes...

Here is a real C3 sniper with ZF 69 Kahles Helios but with a opne piece parker hale mount and rings. This one served with the New Zealand Army and is located in a museum.

Neat looking rifle!

Interesting looking stock - appears to not have a recoil bar - you'd need that for authenticity.

Also your bolt handle hump is on the bottom - C3's used the bolts with the round on the top.

Just little things - but other than that - she's a beauty!

Cheers, Carl

Thanks Carl
A recoil enforcement bar just makes sence anyways.
Good to know about the bolt handle. Best to take care of that before parkerizing!

Are you sure it's me who posted that picture in the thread?

Anyway soon I'll be posting pics of a PH C3A1 wood stock, never bedded...! If someone needs dimensions for the stock (to make a reproduction) I'll be able to post them in this thread.

Frank

Here are some pictures of a stock I was given by a fellow retired weapon technician. The stock was saved from being scrapped in Germany. All scratches are minor paint marks (must have been rubbed somhow on wet paint). Everithing can easily be removed and there is no dents or gashes in the stock. I'll probably build a rifle similar to UKVarminter's rifle posted previously:D
