Parker hale m82-m87-C3-C3A1 Rifles

I've got a Kahles ZF69 6x42 NR 158617, glass is clear. Would it the right one for a C3? Value?

Looks good, Don't have my reference stuff handy, but I am pretty sure it is in the C3 issue S/N range. Value is what someone is willing to pay, I would say 1000 maybe 1500 if someone really wanted it, on a good day without the rings

ZF69 Scope range for C3 is Nr 158562 to 158855 (C law p.73). RALS.4 26mm low rings (1st generation) are tough to find. You'll occasionally see 2nd generation rings for sale and these were a replacement part.

Scope 158617 falls within range and would be to C3 Contact Specification.

Twincamharley,

ZF69 Scope range for C3 is Nr 155562 to 158855. Yours falls within the range so that's good. worth $1500. RALS.4 26mm low rings are tough to find however you occasionally see them on ebay.co.uk

The serial number range does not cover scopes purchased afterwards as replacement for damaged or lost scopes .

I have an M82 , it came complete with a Kahles ZF84 scope and a spare Swarovski ZFM 84 scope which apart from the name is identical .Both are graduated for 7.62 168gr nato ammunition. All parts are original but I don't have optional iron sights .The bore is excellent and will shoot 1" groups all day with good ammo.

Here's a couple of quick pics of my C3A1 build , its not finished , as it needs a McMillan A2 stock or a TX1200 wood stock to make it propper , anyway here's the pics .

Sorry guys , only just found this thread , and yes , this rifle lives in New Zealand , and its the M87 that was brought in the UK & was in 243 cal , and the original C3A1 mount was the one that was welded to a cheap 22lr rifle in the US .

There are some REAL nice PHs in this thread .

My C3A1 build has been a real long time , and in part due to two reason , 1 ) Parts are hard to find & rare as PH has been closed for over 25yrs , & Some parts like the mount are virtually impossible to find ( as very few where made , and they where only for the Canadian C3A1 rifle and NO other , so as I said super super rare ) .
2 ) I am very stubborn , and was not willing to accept anything CLOSE , it had to be the actual part ,

I look forward to putting into a McMillan A2 stock , does anyone know the colours & % for the moulded in camo swirl pattern ?

Cheers Chris

YES , I know the scopes not 100% , but its close enough for me , yeap , its not Unertl or marked in meters for the Norma ammo , and as I have another USO MST-100 scope to put on a USMC M40A1 clone , I am happy that its NEW & as I said close enough for me .

I made the rifle for ME , not for some one else , and its as close to a real one as I could get , and the real kicker , IS its basically BRAND new in every way . or will be when I get her re-stocked .

I am very , very happy with how she turned out .

Cheers Chris

Question just to satisfy myself. What is the current value of a C3 or the C3-A1 rifle? Not what one would pay for one but the actual value of the rifle if it where to be sold. I know a bidding war would most likely start should one be available.

Skies the limit!

Every one of them will probably never see civilian hands - unless the Canadian Government reverses its long standing policy of destroying or donating to foreign governments. I think the last time they ever released anything, was when the FN C1A1's the OPP had came onto the market, or the RCMP SIG's if I remember correctly.

Be cool though! We can all dream!

Cheers, Carl

C3 is very, very rare. Lots of clones out there however I've seen 4 "R" serial numbered C3's in "civy" hands. I've never seen one come to market and would expect that these would attract a lot of attention. There are C3a1's out there. I know of one that was sold when Parker Hale closed down (They had 2 in inventory). It was one of the 10-12 that were returned by DND due to barrel configuration. I know the gent that purchased the C3a1 who has since sold it. This C3a1 did not have the correct Unertl scope however was wearing a MST100 in the correct scope bracket. This sold approx 3.5 years ago for US$15000.

Cheers, Ron
