The Titan II is a different rifle than Ted's. I have a Titan II as well. Yours must be wearing a custom barrel, or perhaps is rechambered, as I don't believe they made them in 7mm STW.

custom barrel, 30". Smoothest action I have ever seen too!

That Ted, must be a sinful feller.
Gone to church, tosses a karrot and vamooooooooosh..........?
Maybe he's do'in the Rosarie?

Ted, dag nabbit, what powder?

My apologies, Guys, was at Lake Laberge on Monday, and down on Atlin Lake yesterday.

The powder is H450, which has not been available for quite a while. I have a pound of it left. It is the most accurate powder I have ever used in the 270 Winchester, and gives the best accuracy/velocity in my 308 Normas. If you find any of it, don't let it get away. Re22 is the closest I have come to it in the 308 NM.

That's a name that brings back, memories. Sylvia & I were there about '74. The memory I refer to is spending the night on the mountain in the head water area of Spruce Creek and Otter Creek.

With my first 308NM, a Parker Hale and when I was first starting out reloading, N 204 and N 205 were the powders I used. For loads for my Schultz & Larsen and as I was primarily using Sierra bullets, I short circuited the load development process and went with the powder the Sierra manual was listing in their accuracy loads. IMR 4350. Another reason for this 'short circuit' approach is I have the same model and make of rifle as they were using in their tests and load development.

Cleftwynd,

Here's the 308 Norma. It's actually my Frankenrifle: Voere barrel installed by Bill Leeper on a PH Safari commercial action, bedded by yours truly into a beat up PH stock that had a Limbsaver pad to soften the recoil.

A tad under eight pounds with an old Redfield 4X, you can carry it all day without getting tired, not worry about scratching it up, and it shoots good enough to easily anchor game far beyond what I have any business trying to do.

Everyone should have at least one Frankenrifle!

Ted
