Your statement is confusing . As you know the black cloud approved tube is different and that is the only one you can shoot black cloud out of none of the others with the stud stsyem. The initial stud system pattern master tube black cloud destroyed which was why mine cracked.You have to make sure you have the right tube designed for black cloud and that tube only not any of the others they made. Has nothing to do with set up???

Patternmaster does NOT recommend using Federal Black Cloud ammunition in our choke tubes wih the patented “stud” system! We have developed a Patternmaster Black Cloud Choke to use with the Black Cloud ammunition.

If you would have had the right set up (black cloud ammo and a black cloud patternmaster choke tube) you wouldn't have had any problems with your choke cracking. . . :HR:

Yes smartie but guess what when I bought my patternmaster choke tubes probally late 90's there was no such thing as black cloud ammo ( maybe came out in 2007??)or a pattern master choke tube designed for it.
You can thank me and the others who screwed ours and cracked them which made them go back and design a tube just for black cloud. And no they never replaced ours either with their sucky one year warranty.:HR:

not sure if I am reading your comment right or not but are you saying you can use black cloud in the standard non BC patternmaster choke? Because if that's what you are indeed saying you are very wrong here. Black cloud has its own wad control system, and if you use it through a patternmaster choke not only will it pattern like absolute #### you risk the chance of the wad and shot binding up and having some nasty effects. Patternmaster is to be used with standard wad systems and at lower velocities ( other than the BC patternmaster choke)

But if all posts were read you would see that i never once said to put blackcloud through a non-blackcloud choke tube, i personally read the black cloud box and knew that you couldn't do that but maybe some just don't bother to take a second and get to know there equiptment.

:bsFlag:Ya right. Like I said no such thing as a black cloud designed patternmaster choke or ammo when we bought ours so pretty hard to take a second look.
Have fun with your one choke tube and over time and hundreds of dollars spent you will learn that patternmaster by no means makes the best tubes out there right now.

And when did i say they made the best choke tubes out there, are you seeing things?? I know there wasn't blackcloud ammo out when you bought your tube, you already said that, and when blackcloud ammo came out you didn't think to read the box?? FYI i have many more than one choke tube, I accually do a little research and see what works together and what you should or shouldn't do but i guess i just like my equiptment enough not to destroy it by making half-assed assumptions . . .

Yep you did look at the quote below , Apparently all you have to do is "set it up right" Never heard of setting a choke tube up before lol Is there a tool or something you can get to do such a thing?

My apologies but as posted before below if you are shooting a browning this is what we have found to work the best. The Brileys also work well in my remingtons.

I am down to the following favorites as are a few of my friends in thier brownings.
Briley IM in 12ga & 10ga for all pass shooting applications and you don't have to worry about the ammunition or shot size. The Wad Wizard Swat or Briley LM over decoys. Also my buddy with a browning says Terror tubes perform well on all shot sizes except for T.

choke tube bought late 90's
ist black cloud came out and shot fall 2007.
Chewed up tube jan 2008
called patternmaster jan 2008 told to take to gunsmith to clean up
nothing on box or web at this stage
late 2008 or early 2009 WARNING on black cloud
get it
we had to break some tubes first before they knew there was a problem
You should thank us for donating our tubes to give you something that now works.
