PCMR Pacific Coast Militia Rangers - History, Photos and serial number survey

I just found this thread, very cool.
Just before Christmas I was going through the safe. I pulled out a Mdl 64 that I had obtained from my uncle years ago.
Glanced at the stock and saw a mark not seen before. C Broad Arrow. Wow, add Model 64 1318448 to the list.

I just emailed with the PCMR surveyor Bert Hartman and he has given me permission to post his email address here.
So if you want to add your rifle to his survey please email him directly at Win1885@msn.com
Adding you number to this thread will not add your rifle to the survey.
Thanks.

I saw one of these in good shape at my local gun store recently. I was tight on cash at that time and went back for it the next week and it was gone, still regret not just throwing it on my card for that week.
These are truly cool pieces. I would love to find another one, hopefully one day I will

Very nice!!! That would have been an excellent choice for the Pacific NorthWest with the ranges expected on the shorter side due to heavy rainforest growth. Most folks living there probably already had extensive experience with the 94 and didn't need a whole lot of marksmanship training.

I'd be interested to know what load these rifles were issued with and what company had the contract.

It's nice that the PCMR veterans were allowed to buy their issued rifle afterward at a decent price. Different times.

AFAIK, Remington had the contract for the ammunition. Plain brown box labeled in red as "KLEANBORE 160 GRS. METAL CASED BULLET" , cartridges head stamped REM-UMC 30-30.
