PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

I meant no disrespect Troy. My point is that if it's a blaster, give it blaster ammo...;)

If we were referring to a short barrelled bolt action or any other firearm where accuracy was a concern, I'd definitly play around with some faster buring powders to make the load as consistent as possible.

With a PDW, accuracy is not my primary concern, 100% reliability and function is. That's what I'm looking for in my choice of ammo. If it just happens to be very accurate, then all the better. Under the circumstances 3MOA @ 100 yds. from a PDW would more than satisfy me.

I recognize what you're saying and I've been there too. I'm just say'n that for the money you guys put into your guns, there is a huge psychological advantage to cook'n up your own load that also works in the gun without altering the gas system and all that.

The constent is the gun, casings, probably primers, but the two variables are your bullet choices (which is nice) and powder. Try this if you have them - take a polymer tip bullet, just the bullet, grab it with a pair of needle noze plyers and heat up the copper jacket with a butane torch. Once the jacket gets hot enough, the polymer tip will crawl out the front like a worm. Take a pair of tweezers and pull the tip out. You've lost 1 grain and gained a 2-3mm hole with a massive hollow point. If this kind of stuff floats your boat, have fun with it, if you still prefer you fmj bulk stuff, that's ok too. It's all good either way.

I'd also agree with this. My PDW is just a riot to shoot, so sheer entertainment is basically what I'm after. It's fairly accurate too; I was getting results consistent with my 10.5" LMT out to about 100 yards - so I'm more than happy with that.

I'm just wondering what the benefit is, since from what I understand the polymer tips basically peel away on impact anyway.

You've got great tastes in AR's. If I owned all of those, I'd have them all different colours. lol.

Dude, you need a camera. Seriously. Think about it...;)

I believe that a black rifle should be just what it sounds like "black";)
And the wife has one of those fancy "canon" thingies but I only know how to use one canon and it goes bang not click:cool:

Where'd you buy your AAC flash hider? I want one but I'm having a hard time locating a vendor here in Kanada.

I'd like one too, but I want the can that goes with it....

No kidding... I tough of getting the non-mount blackout but I figured the 51T was a step in the right direction.

You guys are all on my s**t list now. :kickInTheNuts: I have a SERIOUS dislinking for those AAC characters. :50cal:

I am def not selling you guys cans now. ;)

.. yes. people can feel free to swap it out though.

Shot them this morning. Amazingly I didn't die, burst into flames, or poison the environment while doing so. ;)

What did people put on their PDW's before Noveske came along? There's quite a few 6.5"s and 7.5"s out there with birdcage FS's, have been for years.
