PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

The spex brake we made was in the $200.00 range as is the Eliminator, which is demonstrated to be a superior flash eliminator, hence we do not intend to make the spex brakes again.

I don't want to debate the relative merits of the Eliminator and the Spex, but I will say that Spex has a new manufacturer deal which is not with ATRS and will be bringing their product back to market.

I've never owned or reviewed an eliminator, but what is the relative outer diameter betwee nthe two?

The Spex requires special tooling to tighten on a 7.2" rail with a 7.5" barrel as the wrench flats end up under the handguard and the Spex is too large in diameter to fit into the Troy TRX handguard bore. Proabably the same with many other makes of HG.

Is the Eliminator smaller in diameter? I'd be willign to sacrifice a little performance for the convenience of removign the HG without uninstalling the supressor.

So the choices seem to be the ATRS Eliminator ($195), Noveske 'Flaming Pig' ($175?), PWS CQB ($170) or the standard A2 "flash-hair" (free). ;)

You've forgotten the Dlask cope of the Noveske Pig. The Spex will also be back on the market in a few weeks' time.

I'm very much not a fan of the A2 on a PDW. Try it and you'll rapidly see why better supressors were invented.

What company is selling the Noveske unit?

Here's something I was wondering about. I was looking at a Magpul MOE hand guard and Magpul says it's a direct replacement for M4 hand guards. Having said that, I have a Bushmaster 11.5" upper that has the older CAR 15 round ones.

Is there a difference in the mounting harware between the CAR 15 and the M4that would not allow me to use the MOE without having to buy extra components?

Nope - as long as they're standard carbine hand guards.

please sir, what kind of optic is that? I do apologize if someone has already asked....just think it looks awesome

Well it is only 9mm but it is nice and compact. Rock River Arms 9mm Pistol. I wanted to keep it nice and simple. It has a Spikes Tactical 9X heavy buffer in it. I also added a BCM gunfighter med charge handle. I taped a couple mags together so we could see what it would look like if we could have normal mags.

It eats anything I have ran through it so far. 2000 or so rounds and it has gone bang every single time. No failures.

I'm digging that brass deflector. How far downrange does it send it? ;) Nice gun!

Nice, 9mm AR. This thread has generally be lacking of them. Nice to see one.

Why doesn't anyone seem to carry comlete 9mm AR's? At best, you'll find a dealer who'll have a bunch of bits & pieces, not necessarily enough to build a rifle either. If it were me, I'd rather just buy off the shelf and be done with it.

nice. how much did that little thing cost you if you dont mind me asking? what kind of mags does it take?

Not cheap. Right around $2600. It is a lot of fun though. Really loud indoor. Claven2 nailed it on the mags.

By the looks of it you would think the brass might follow the bullets downrange but they come out at about 2 o'clock.

Is that a Colt stock (might just be the picture, but it looks short from top to bottom), if so where'd you find it?? Very nice gun by the way.

It is not a colt stock. Purchased it from a friend.

This one came pretty much complete. I had to add the receiver extension and stock, the front sight, carry handle, switched the grip, BCM charging handle, Spikes 9x long buffer and Magpull trigger guard.
