PE-90 Black Special Target

Epoxy7, I picked mine up from TSE. They had a used in that was in great shape. Took it out again and it still impresses me with its accuracy. The controls are starting to grow on me, but it is going to take a while for them to be as intuitive to me as the AR's.

Bbartsh,
Good find. I really like mine. I'm grounded though with dry firing (snap caps) for a while. I've been spending way too much lately.

I've noticed with some of the pictures of the black special on this site, that some of them seem to have some sort of logo on the right side of the handguard. It looks like a crosshair logo. Swiss Arms logo maybe? I'm curious because mine has the "black special" and "TSE" logo on the left of the receiver, but I don't have the other one on the black handguard. Does anyone know about this?

p90 brass

Put some velcro at the ejection port it will save the brass from denting, thats what I did with mine an it worked. Geordi

Great tip - I've gotta try that as it was the only hessitation I had going in. Do you put it over the spot on the bottom that always wears off just under the ejection port?

Velcrow

Good glue, small piese of velcrow at trailing edge of port. It's where the brass hits when ejected.

I am left handed, is it possible to shoot one of these as a lefty with out having hot brass thrown into your face? What about everything else ambidextrous? safety, mag release?

Yes, and yes. Can't say if it spits brass in your face though, would be scared to find out. It comes screaming through the ejection port like a bat outta' hell. Also the charging handle is on the right, probably easier for lefties... Cheers

<edit>oh yeah, the bolt release is on the left only, like the AR's.<edit>

My friends PE90 shoots the brass out at a 2:00 kind of position, so its away from a left handed shooter, but it does come screaming out there pretty fast, it would hurt a lot more than an AR15's ejeted brass would, if it did hit you!

They all eject forward. That is a result of the brass hitting the rear of the ejection port on ejection. Part of the cycle. Lefties need not fear firing them.

Congrats as these rifles are beyond ###y and sweet ... I love my Sig rifle ... she's a beauty ... ;)

I don't mind the physical size, but it does feel a little heavy compared to my AR. It does transport small with the folding stock though.
