Pedersoli project

I would forget about the .410 shotgun part.
There's already plenty of break action shotguns around.

Just make it shoot something like .44-Magnum or 45/70-Government instead.

That's also a good suggestion. 45-70 would accept 410 if you need !
A 45 Colt +P or .44 magnum only would make a nice short to medium range woods gun!

How much time from for starting production from the time the order is place. Will there be a ore production sample sent to you for evaluation?

Once final specs have been set we will get a prototype for testing and approval. I will update with pics and video when we get it.

Non restricted, truck/backpack gun. Most people going 13-$1500, are going to be gunnies, not casual one box a year shooters. Thinking it would need to be over engineered to easily handle +p over pressure handloads. The 45-70 can be loaded from trapdoor to light 458wm performance. Better IMO, is a gun able to handle over pressure 45/410, than a 45-70 that ends up the next Kentucky ballistics video.

45-70 would have been easier and with 2 1/2 410g been probably more accurate.
Problems with the 45-70 is exactly the reloading possibility. 28000cup for trapdoor pressure but
In the 40000cup would have been disastrous.

45 hi pressure would be in the 24000 cup and would be safe. A 45 in that range is
Perfectly capable for taking deer or bear at close range say 50 to 70 yard snd up yo 100 yard
If the gun accurate

I’d be in for one properly regulated for a SAAMI load if sub 2000 dollars. Skip the 410 imo

Wood stock with pistol grip, single trigger, ramp bead front with single fixed rear express blade. 18 inch barrels. 454 casull or 44 mag if possible, regulated at 75 metres

The issue with it being regulated for “45 high pressure” a load with no factory ammo is that regulation will have to be achieved by hand loading, if it is regulated for factory ammo then it will not be regulated with high pressure handloads. Without a system like baikal or several euro manufacturers over unders to regulate at home this will always be the case, short of total redesign this gun doesn’t have that. You can’t have your cake and eat it too sadly

With 2.5 inch 410 chambers shooting 45 colt the accuracy will be poor to begin with, shooting a load it isn’t regulated for? Abysmal

Some over under Italian rifles in this vein in 44 mag, 45 colt and 357. Would be interested in that too

PD has our finals specs on the rifle, they are making the prototype rifle for final approval but we will have no ETA at this time. With any luck we should have it on our November 2021 shipment.
Thanks so much for you patience on this, we know it has been a long time with no updates.

Happy to hear it's it's still in the works. Are you able to share the specs you provided? I'm glad I got a grip on delayed gratification at an early age :p

These look like very nice guns. (pics from the Pedersoli site)
