Pedersoli project

I wonder if they chamber it for 444 marlin that the accuracy would improve while still be able to shoot .410 ? just a taught

Two samples have been made but still being worked on, here is the latest update from PD:

The Mini Express has the rifle stock and the longer barrel, the likeness is in the caliber .45LC with long twist and the possibility to load also the 410ga. catridge.
Shooting at the distance of 15/20 meters, either the .45 LC ammunition and 410 ga , the bullets and the shot grouping on the target are OK.
At 50 meters, the distance this Mini Express should be used, the .45LC bullet reaches the target flat.
We think it is related to the .45LC ammunition we have available here, not enough powerfull.
We hoped we could find more powerfull ammunition to test, we think that the situation will improve, but until now we could not have them.
Changing twist, using a fast twist is not the proper solution for the 410ga, because the shot pattern on target would be too open.

Maybe they could be sent a couple of boxes of Buffalo Bore ammo in 45 colt +P. Or they could change the caliber to .44 magnum !

If the accuracy is a problem with the .45 colt cartridge
How about trying a 300gr. 45/70 standard pressure. It could shoot .410 cartridge 2"1/2 without any change and the rifle bullet would not have to jump to get to the rifling !

Not the update we were hoping for but here is is.
PD has made a new gun called the Survivalist but this one will be chambered in 44MAG.

The Survivalist double barrel rifle will be produced in the .44Mag caliber, as this was the most voted caliber for this nice double barrel, especially in USA.
Barrels' length 410mm
Over all length 805 mm
Weight 2,5 kilos about
Walnut stock checkered with American tradition pattern
Walnut forend, no checkering
Case hardening action
The rib is drilled and tapped to fit a small base for the red point.
Price would be ~2800$
 
The description sounds interesting. I'm assuming it has open sights?

I googled Pedersoli Survivalist and all I got was a link to something called the Pedersoli Lizard, which is likely competing for Worst Gun Name Ever. It's a hideous plastic folding .32-cal muzzleloader. Could not find anything about the Survivalist.
 
It's made out of the pedersoli Howda pistol already in 45 long colt /410 . I dont think it would take the pressure. It's sad that the .410 guage is out of the equation...
 
A 44mag double is a solid choice for a bigger market.
I'm glad they skipped the 45/410. No offense to anyone but a compromise is always a compromise a d you won't ever get the best performance from either. Just buy a decent sxs 410 and handload thug slugs

410 cases don't extract from 4570 chamber's well at all and it destroys the head of the case I've tried it in my 4570 double rifle

With most lever guns in 44mag coming in at over 1600 bucks 2800 is not bad for a double if well regulated
I'd love to see some pictures
