Well, I am sure you all know Glocks rock! But they can get to be dull and plain after awhile. I added a couple additions to my Glock 17 to make it more comfortable and function better for me. Here are some pics.

Here you can see my I bought the Glock extended slide lock and magazine release. You can also see my Hogue slip-on grip which for me has made such a difference in terms of comfort.

Another pic of my Hogue slip-on grip. It adds deeper finger grooves.

Here you can see how the Hogue slip-on grip adds extra thickness so it fills your hand better.

These are literally the best sights in my opinion. TruGlo TFOs (Tritrium/Fiber Optic). The fiber optic rods are encased so they are only exposed from the top. They glow green day or night.

Let me know what you think of my Glock 17. :)

Looks pretty fine to me. Hopefully the new grip sleeve will give you a better feel for the gun and your accuracy will improve.

Beauty!

Nice sights! My baby is an M&P which I'd love to change the stock Novak sights out on soon for some tritium night sight setup. Thanks for the tip on the TruGlo's!

Does that Hogue grip stay on by itself or is there some type of adhesive?

Beautiful piece! Congratz =)

Ok, you asked for opinions. The sights are great but aren't the best for all situations. The grip is crap, get rid of it. Handguns are supposed to be comforting not comfortable. The extended controls are useless, seek some professional training.

The Hogue slip-on grip stay on by itself. Now it was hard to slip on some people said use dish soap I used nothing I just rolled it inside out and pulled it over bit by bit and its pretty snug.

Wow, TDC nice comments, however I do have professional training I am in the military and I do know the tap rack drills. I bought the extended magazine release because I can release my magazine much quicker now. I know you would say why have the extended slide locking lever if you are "racking" the slide like you should be. I say that if I had to use the slide lock it is much easier now instead of the stubby factory Glock slide locking lever which in my opinion is way to small and have no serrations or "shelf" to catch your thumb on it in order to actuate it quickly and efficiently. The rubbery texture of the grip makes a world of difference to me on my Glock. Polymer itself can be very slippery in the hands and I hate grip tape because its is the complete opposite, its very abrasive. As far as the TruGlo's go yeah maybe not for every situation by I configure all my firearms for tactical use then everything else. I don't really like IDPA stuff I much prefer tactical/defense scenarios. Thanks though, keep the comments coming.

So far I have seen only negative posts from you. What is your problem man. All you do is rag on people for their choices, and opinions. This is not the first thread I`ve witnessed your trolling. If you don`t have anything nice to say don`t say anything at all, or better yet go to hell. This forum is supposed to be about helping each other and all you wanna do is put people down. Get a life.

I see your point regarding the slide stop. I don't know anyone who has issues activating the stock one but to each their own. The mag release I wouldn't advise ever. The increased potential for inadvertently dumping your magazine outweighs the minor advantage provided by the extended length. As for sights, I used to run the TFO's but now run XS big dots. If you read any of my previous posts I set my firearms up for their intended role and nothing else. The XS sights are light years ahead of standard three dot sights when it comes to defensive shooting. Either way, the TFO's are still good kit, I had no problems with mine. The Hogue grip is a disaster waiting to happen. It will slide about and twist around. If it works its way up the grip it will seriously impede the movement of the mag release. I suggest decal grips, they can be had in a slightly tacky rubber. The sandpaper style is rather aggressive.

Is that your personal opinion or your educated response? If it's your opinion then you're more than entitled to it, much like I'm entitled to mine. If you believe that statement is an educated response I would like to hear what FACTUAL information you are using to base that on.

What you and many others don't like about my posts is that they're honest. I'm not here to make friends, I have enough already. That doesn't mean I haven't or won't make friends on here because I indeed have. I will not engage in the incessant mutual masturbation that radiates from so many threads on this forum. With that being said, I offer no BS honest responses founded on logic and experience. Many here are lacking in reality, I offer free doses on a frequent basis. I cannot take all the credit, there are many others on this site who do the same.

I can come across a little cold and/or harsh. Some folks ask a question and receive an honest answer. Sadly when that answer is not what they wanted to hear they become defensive and usually make personal attacks known as an ad hominem attack. This is a clear sign they have nothing valid to contribute to the discussion or have no facts to support their side. Much like your post I've quoted above. Perhaps I'm wrong and you've based that claim on some factual information. This of course is my opinion which if you read the OP's first post, he asked for.

First of all your opinion is your and you are entitled to it and I understand what the OP asked. The bottom line is if you worded your opinion in a more personable manner it would go along way. It seems like you are trying to get angry responses from people. If I asked you in person is this how you would respond. And if so I feel sorry for your so called friends. There are ways to say the same thing without sounding insulting. You yourself are pretty much calling the OP and idiot, in your statement. The point is be polite when you state your opinion or you will forever be considered a TROLL. I hope to see some constructive posts from you in the future, that come off less insulting.

Nothing in my post is insulting. I'm posting what I know based on fact and experience. If the truth hurts its time to grow some thicker skin. As the response from the OP indicates, he has thick skin. It was you who appeared to be offended. Again, I don't engage in mutual masturbation. People ask for opinions, they get them without the sugar coating.

I see many firearms that are adorned with accessories that are neither necessary nor purpose driven. I'm old school; if the accessory doesn't improve performance without affecting reliability or improve reliability for the intended role then it doesn't belong on the firearm. For some the "look cool factor" is more important than the practical factor. To each their own. However, when said individuals ask for opinions or advice they need to be prepared for negative comments. The key to learning is an open mind. Like anyone else, I've used gear that I thought was ideally suited for the role only to find out it sucked. You live and learn. I've tried gear against the advice of more experienced shooters than myself only to find out they were right. I've also used gear that was highly recommend by the same folks only to find it didn't work for me.

Being honest is being polite. Sugar coating the truth or ones opinion is rude.
