Petawawa Gun Club Presents Sharpshooter 2015 Sept 26,27

It sounds crazy to say it, but could the "over $7000 in prizes" be scaring people off? Like "holy crap, this is a bigger even then I thought it was!!!". Myself, this will be my first precision competition (aside from the mock match barney put on as part of his clinic last fall) , but I figure there is no way to learn and improve without doing it and Pet is a shorter drive for me then Borden. Hell, I'll share my dope charts with any newbie and help them out with strelok if they want help figuring out their adjustments out to 600.

This may be the case. We have over 40 shooters signed up as of so far. I think a huge reason why we are not at 72 shooters already is because of the calibre restrictions. There will be a walk back as well the weekend prior for shooters that would like to get some dope charts made up.

^^This. Many people have moved away from 308 or got into the sport with a 6.5 of some flavor. Few shooters at ORA or NSCC PR matches show up with a 308. 260s are probably the most common now.

I and my buddy are driving up early Saturday to shoot and going home the same day. Can't see staying overnight to wait for the next day's presentations.
