PGWDTI - .338 Lapua Semi Auto .......The DIREWOLF!!!!

That's what I figured and that makes sense. Not knocking the product at all. The OP came on a forum full of civilian shooters saying it was a "game changer".

Hope you guys do well and sell a lot to the .gov agencies that could use this product.

No worries, it was a copy paste of our FB 'release'. On the battlefield, where we tend to be quite often, it is a massive game changer. Having interacted with Tier 1 professionals from all over the world, not to mention green army Snipers, it will fill a role. Majority of our sales are MIL/LE and I expect once we have the classification of the rifle AND the firearms laws allow ownership, there will be a few people that need this in their safe.

PGWDTI mentioned "Game Changing Design" in their press release.......so it wasn't me that came up with that......Nice try....lol

Fair enough, my bad for the poor reading comprehension.

As I mentioned, hope PGW tells a sh*t ton of them to their intended market. Good for them for coming up with something that .gov can use and will "change the game" for them.

That's awesome. What primary role will this play on the field? Just out of my own curiosity sake as I'm not in the .gov world.

Seems like more and more governments are going to bigger cartridges to fill semi and full auto roles in some capacities. Some of the US .gov entities are going to be rolling out full auto .300NM and .338NM for certain roles.

What do we have here......... ;)

But hey, you always are the naysayer unless it concerns certain businesses and products that you seem to love.......... ;) Have a nice evening. :)

Glad to see that they are improving their quality, that wasn't always the case. I have no ill will toward IBI, but they did have a rough start and the quality wasn't at a level where I would've recommended them. Glad things are turning around on their quality.

It wasn't designed for civilian shooters, it was designed for military use.

Must be.

All I can see on civy side is a 10 rounds X 5$ in 20 seconds insanity...

haha!

Nice product. I have no doubts it will find its niche pretty quick. I mean you guys talked to the boys and knew what to go for to start with. Nothing is done randomly in this world...

IBI barrel... Can't go wrong there.

CHEERS

Accuracy in such a hard hitting semi platform is what this has achieved as far as game changing. I needed to freshen up the .338 Lapua over the Timberwolf that has been around since 2001. What helped a lot is the fact it has an amazing IBI barrel on it!!

Good to see Steve.

The semi auto AR308/AR10 has made bolt action 308/7.62 precision rifles obsolete for about 20 years now. Canada fielded them since 2004 and they shoot like high end tactical bolt guns. Leaving the bolt guns for the bigger calibers "sniping" which has stretched way out there.

For some reason there is still this myth that 1 moa is what owners of these rifles are striving for. In reality a good AR10/AR308 with appropriate barrel, trigger, optics and ammo is a .5 moa and often slightly less firearm. Again, they can compete with a good tactical bolt action rifle. Only better ergonomics, and semi auto.

A couple of questions...

1) Trigger? More importantly what type of lock time? This is huge with semi autos and often either not known or completely overlooked.
2) The barrel is IBI.. So 5R rifling? Also is that black nitriding or just cerekote? The current nitride process I believe is the way of the future for the more barrel burning calibres to have more appeal.

looking forward to the details.

By the way. I think it needs one of the helically fluted barrels to give it that PGW lineup look. I know the gas block makes it hard. But still...
