Phoniest 'Hunt' EVER!

The only thing missing in the equation to distinguish it from livestock, is ownership...

The fences, the feed, etc are all in place and sometimes it is even believed that ownership is too.

Sounds like "The Crush". Those 2 do everything short of guiding the bucks pecker into the doe while "managing" thier herd.

I know a guy in Dawson Creek that raises and sells Bison /snip

Is that the guy that ended up on Ewan McGregors biking show "Long way round"? If so, I thought it was hilarious how they represented him on the show vs. in the book. Revealed a few extra details in the book that made him look like kind of a douche.

Don't think there are any fences involved in that show but they sure do plant a lot of deer food.

Everyone here, including myself at times, need to learn the line "It's not right for me". Write it down, memorize it, recite it in front of the mirror if need be. "It's not right for me". If it's not illegal then you can't say "it's not right" you can only say "it's nto right for me".

- Why don't you bow hunt? "It's not right for me".

- Why don't you fly fish? "It's not right for me".

- Why don't you buy a Tikka? "It's nto right for me".

- Why don't you own handguns? "it's not right for me".

- Why don't you date older women? "It's not right for me".

- Why don't you move to Toronto? "It's not right for me".

We'll all be a lot happier if we relax about the choices other people make and accept that not everyone will do things the same way that we do. There's nothing wrong with it, just different strokes.

there's lots of legal stuff I don't agree with too...

I usually take the root of, " if it's legal have it" ...whether that be shooting from the road, your truck, or at 700 yrds...

My issue has nothing at all to do with shooting penned animals, that's not a big deal. My issu is the farming of some animals in areas where wild animals are within a few feet proximity.

When you hunt on a game farm, or rasie a deer from a fawn to a trophy buck by practically hand feeding him antler "miracle grow"....you know what you are doing,...and probably don't need me telling you.

If it's a trophy to you, right on...
You should see the pics of some of salmon i have taken at Sobeys!!;):D

I caught a gem on Wild TV last year. Went somethign along the lines of thise

"Y'alllllll come and join us right here as we take childen out on to the "game preserve" and they can damn shoot some nice goats and sheeps"

Dad and son charge off merrily into "wilderness". Dad spots sheep with $4000 pair of binoculars grazing in the distance (a grand total of about 100 meters). They "stalk" closer, meaning walk normally yapping to the camera man to a distance of about ten meters, while the "wild" game chews peacefully away on its lunch

Dad sets up the shooting sticks, and instructs the youngster on which animal has the biggest horns so that he shoots the right one. Kid pops the goat/sheep.

Dad goes ape#### over how his son just "killded" a great trophy. Kid looks like he doesnt care.

Dad makes comment about huge horns, mumbles an afterthought about the meat.

Yep, real quality hunting their. If they'd just called it a farm cull, I'd of been way happier.

Its not about whats right for the individual....or agreeing with it...it is that these guys are liars and trying to pass off a canned hunt as REAL....get it now???

Shooting a penned animal that is farm fed and tame is NOT hunting...it is shooting.

heck i heard of farms where you can go to and choose your buck than shoot it!!! As long as it keeps those "hunters" out of the woods, its more room for me!!!

Nope, don`t think so,Ross has been farming them for 30 years there. He is just a cattle man with bison as a sideline.Pretty nice guy, played in a band with him years ago. You`re thinking of some one else.

There are wild animals on farmland all over the place.

I shoot everything on someone's farm. there are feeders and fences. That's why the animals are there. It's not like the farm is a few acres and you walk into the barn yard and BOOM.
