Pickled Eggs THREAD

Yep. They come in this sealed package. They seem to have an outer layer about a quater inch thick of tough leathery coating.

Only for the very brave..... want me to mail you some? LOL.

actually his troll account posted a link to #### last night in the OT..... something to do with MUFF... but direct link to a #### sight that showed pink and belive it or not a ##### being inserted into a ######.... it scared me.

Necro-pickle-post.

Found a jar in the back of the fridge from November but am a bit reluctant to try as there was a wee bit of separation of the hot sauce from the other liquid over time. Might have to fire up the assembly line again for some fresh stuff...

Anyone brewing up a spring batch?

Haven't made any in a while. I think I'm still getting over the jar of 46 that I made... Might have to wash that baby out and make another.

Thanks for the bump! clearly we aren't getting a sticky

Sweet mother of zombie jebus!! I can't believe we got a sticky!! Who ever said that whining doesn't pay off? :D LOL

Summer Salads!

Just a thought. Along with pickled eggs, cucumbers and green onions are awesome on salads if you let them soak in vinegar over night in the fridge. I just put some in so I thought I would mention it :D

anyone know of any good pickled mushroom recipes? (besides amphib :p)

I had a brother once that decided to make his own pickled eggs. He scrounged a 128oz wide mouth bottle and bought about four dozen eggs. He boiled them up and put them in the bottle with the brine according to the recipe. A week or so later the brine went all cloudy and green. It seemed he missed the part where one is supposed shell the eggs before putting them in the brine. I believe he hasn't eaten a pickled egg since

Traditionally taverns would serve pickled eggs and pickeled tongue with saltines.....perfect way to end the workday with a couple of cold drafts. My mom made the best pickeled tongue and eggs.....
After reading this thread I think I'm gonna call Mom and ask her for her recipes, It's been years and now my mouth is watering just thinking about it. :)
