Pickled Eggs THREAD

I'd hit one....I psydo process mine and they are hot sealed in canning jars. I do keep them in the fridge always though. Food born illness = bad times
 
I figure if I can eat aged walrus meat or raw meat or haggis and blood pudding ... I can handle one of my eggs ... but Jebus I'm afraid ... HAHA ... honestly! :D

Well I grabbed me nards at lunchtime and ate one of my pickled eggs ... opened them up ... cracked one in 1/2 ... bloody thing was an ugly yellowish color thru the whole thing ... let's just say it was spicey and hot ... no blurbs in me guts yet ... operative word being "yet" ... ;) :D HAHA.

I don't feel competent enough to make some on my own but I got some at the IGA at the Dartmouth Shopping Plaza a few times in the past few weeks, they are Labonte brand and were quite good I thought. I'm going to try 'Brothers' brand which they sell over at their Agricola Street location.

watching my prettys pickle everytime I open the fridge...By the time I get back from Mexico they should be ready...It's all about cycling now...must never run-out!
 
First time I saw this thread I thought it was a sick joke...I usually :puke: at the mere scent of a pickled egg. But after 150+ posts I figured I should see what all the fuss was about. After reading the last few posts, now I think I'll stay tuned in, just to see who gives themselves food poisoning first :D Carry on lads ;)

Classy eggs..The last ones were dirty brined eggs!

I'm gonna make some soon here.. I think i'll go with some banana peppers and/or some hot peppers and see how that works out. they got some crazy food down here but pickled eggs, i've not seen yet.

I think in BC you can get pickled eggs from Freybe's which are gooood.

oh and this thread is not stickied because mods dont like pickled eggs.:runaway:

put up a naked chick eating pickled eggs and i'm sure it'll get locked though.. ha ha...

btw.. anyone ever try the spicy/hot type of pickled eggs (jalapeno or other hot pepper infused stuff??)
 
Ya man...my last batch were uber hot. way to much of everything! Vinager kills the heat though so stack the hotness up!

Auzzie food is good man! Baramundi fish (SP?) and chips pretty much is the best thing ever!
