PICS ADDED: Did I buy a used shotgun? - UTS15

I'm debating if I want a refund because I already ordered a barrel extension and the UTAS tactical deployment bag from Wolverine Supplies! :(

So if I give up on this shotgun, I'll have to return and ship the parts back. FFFFFF.

How's this sound, if you decide you want a refund on the UTS just let me know and I'll send a pickup slip for it.

The extras from Wolverine, returning them is between you and Wolverine, but if you do decide to I'll include a prepaid postal slip to Wolverine with the guns pickup slip so you can send them back....ie the postage will all be on me for the issues.

Just browsing through this thread quickly, and wanted to say Ryan, you are a stand up guy!

I've only been to the store once, but you were great to deal with and you definitely support your customers very well!

Hope everything works out for everyone!

Cheers

Very nice gesture in the customer service area! Can't ask for more than that! G:

That's some top notch customer service right there! Well done Ryan!

Thanks for posting this one. Very interesting thread. Wow, what a mess though.
Looks like this one might have been a factory refurb. sent out as 'just like new'.
I've eyed these shotguns for awhile and haven't been impressed. Way, way, too many issues.
You'd be best to send this lemon back for a full refund if you have the option, take the loss on the shipping even if need be.
better safe than sorry.
PS. I wouldn't fault the dealers at all on this one. The guns are just lemons from the get go.

My thoughts exactly they are a stand up company and look after there customers
Ryan's a stand up guy as seen by his offer to pay for shipping not only of the shotgun but also the parts back to another company!!

Ditto. Bought 3 guns from them so far, two in the last month. :)

Thanks for the outstanding service as usual. I had no doubt things would be resolved properly as usual :)

Good news managed to cancel the order at wolverine supplies before the shippers picked it up today. So that is taken care of.

I will be returning the shotgun. I will give you a call after I'm off work around 3pm. Thanks again Ryan.

I'll sum up my opinion like this :

If it was my shotgun, I'd now want a refund. And i'd want SFRC to be the shop where I bought it from, considering the CS.

I'm not all together too experienced with guns but I would say that it looks like it has had more than a test round from what I know. I originally posted asking who this sponsor was and then I saw the post. Is it Wolverine that you bought the gun from? Or am I misunderstanding.

Cheers!

Which sponsor was this so I know which one to avoid for my purchases. If you don't mind my asking

Whooooooooa !!! Easy there. The contributing dealer has gone above and beyond to rectify this problem on there dime. There's no reason to avoid them at all. A job well done when it comes to customer service.

I still would be extremely upset with the manufacture however as this is a serious safety issue.

IMO,

1. the box is no big deal, often they lose boxes and switch when selling. I bought a remington 700 new that was supplied with a box that did not match the gun, but the gun was new. the retailer simply switched the box when they could not find the original box (the rifle was on display).

2. it is a big deal that it was fired and not clean when bought tho, and I would expect a new, clean, unfired gun for the price of a new, unfired, clean new gun. getting a tested or pre-fired firearm would not be acceptable to me.

I'm really picky about the condition I receive my firearms in ....

I agree that the opened box is standard procedure so as the shop can record the serial #, but the wear on the bolt, and the deposits in the barrel are unacceptable.

Does the shop were you purchased it have a range? Kinda sounds like you got a 'demonstrator' model ....

I bought it from SFRC.

It isn't their fault they got a bad shotgun in their batch from the distributor.

Ryan has been very helpful on helping me get this sorted and has been very professional. I will continue doing business with them, as they will take care of you if you're not happy!

Blame the manufacturer.
