Federal 3" 1-1/4oz Steel BB- Shot Diameter: 0.180", Weight:1.21oz, Shot Count: 85
All shot is spherical, no blemishes, no deformities, no junk/slag in there.

Winchester Xpert HV 3" 1-1/8oz Steel BB- Shot Diameter: 0.180", Weight: 1.14oz, Shot Count: 82
Most shot are spherical, some have minor deformities, one had a decent pit, no junk/slag in there.

Remington Sportsmen 2-3/4" 1-1/8oz Steel #4- Shot Diameter: 0.130", Weight: 1.18oz, Shot Count: 119
All shot is spherical, no blemishes, no deformities, no junk/slag in there.

I wonder if bb shot is on average a better quality shot because of the mass produce of bb for pellet rifles ??? Think out loud

If you are assuming that air rifles use same pellets used in a BB shotshell, you are making a very wrong assumption. They aren't even the same diameter. The diameters are close, but they aren't the same.

No factory shells contain a true high end steel pellet. You want high end you buy your components from precision reloading and roll your own

BB Air Rifle shot has a Rockwell B hardness of 93. The industry standard for steel shot to be loaded in shotshells is 62 Rockwell B
There are many versions of the term Steel shot and many have totally different metallurgy. Yes they are smaller also about 5 thousand
Want to damage a shotgun barrel bore reload some of those hard copper colored daisy BB

I got 3 nice geese this am. blackcloud bb folded their flying gear and crashing down they came
