I spent over an hour there, and I couldn't tell I had been there.
Same here. I figured I had my truck's long box, so I focused on getting the bigger stuff. I didn't want to risk getting a puncture, so I couldn't drive near the larger piles of debris. Lots of walking back and forth. Next time it will be 5 gallon buckets, a rake and shovel for all those shells and smaller stuff.
What a ####hole! I was there for 1 1/2 hours and barely made a dent.I wonder If I go there to clean up again, it will be like starting over. Lousy photo and the pool liner covered most of the haul.
See 'ya!
It's not too bad now... this is our 8th year of doing this; we have everyone's contact info, and they're used to hearing from us.It's obvious that a metric ton of effort was put into this -- not only the actual cleaning, but the logistics to make it happen.
Oh, I forgot to mention... Jan stopped almost every vehicle heading up the road, told them what we were doing, and asked them if they'd pick up some garbage if she gave them a garbage bag. Most said yes. And most DID collect a bag of trash, and tossed it in our bin on their way down! It was really great seeing that.
