Some shotgun ammo of varying vintage.. The Crappy Tire Supreme (with 20 round boxes 
) are the most recent. The now equivalent Challenger-produced 'Imperial' (also 20 round boxes) are probably 4X or 5X that price. Some pretty ancient Winchester and Sellier Bellot (check that Woolco price of $1.44!) some old Imperial and the now unobtainable 28 gauge slugs for $0.60!

I remember buying 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge blue Imperial for $3.33 and Sellier Bellot 12 gauge for $1.99 .I do remember buying the 5 round 28 gauge slugs for $1.49.Some shotgun ammo of varying vintage.. The Crappy Tire Supreme (with 20 round boxes

I think that by the time I was old enough to buy my own shotgun shells (rather than pilfer from my dad or grandad) the Imperials were close to $10/box. The cheapest ammo I bought myself was a bunch of Remington and Activ (all plastic hulls) dove & quail loads I found for $3.25 per box of 25 down in Florida. I bought quite a few boxes and brought them back across the border without issue... the good old days! Sadly, no pix of those.
I still have a few of those black paper berdan ? primed 20gauge SB shells they were $1.99 came 20 to a box and stunk like a skunk when they were fired. CTC sold them along with supreme blue 12 gauge they had soft tinfoil like rims that tore off and the shot was all sizes and shapes . Yes remember the Supreme shells well.The SB 12 gauge shells I bought were 25 to a box and had were black and red paper.Not too soon after that SB, went to a green plastic hull with a see through top end rolled crimp that I remember.Could be wrong on that.
Yes, those old SB paper shells did have a bit of a smell to them.
I still have a few thousand Active hulls and components in 2 3/4 and 3inch big volume hulls made great spreader loads and mag turkey and duck loads in the day. Sight member 3macs has a bunch of them even in 16 gauge the old fart even has a stash of AA in 16 but he likes to hang onto things just like me. Salty old fart but good guy.I remember those all plastic Activ 12 gauge shells.Never had any myself,but a friend of mine did.

That sounds about right, with respect to the Sellier Bellot shotgun shells. I have BOXES of the black & red paper-hulled rounds. The 7 1/2 shot is still perfectly good for grouse hunting. Sadly, most of mine are #2 (lead, obviously) and aren't good for much. Aside from their own branded boxes, they were also sold under the Canadian Tire brand and probably a few others. I had a quick look and found an example of the green plastic hull with clear window 'crimp'. I'm sure I have a few more somewhere. I also found a couple examples of black plastic rounds. Not sure when they were issued.

I'm a bit sentimental about the S/B black & red paper rounds... I remember my dad using them when he took me partridge hunting as a kid. I always wondered why they had a picture of flying saucers printed on the shell. It wasn't until decades later that I found some and realized those weren't flying saucers, but clay pigeons! Nobody I knew back then shot skeet or trap. It would have been considered a waste of perfectly good ammo

Not sure on the age of this stuff, but you sure can't get it for that price anymore.
Olympic Gevelot 12ga 2 3/4" #2, bought at Towers for a whopping $2.97.
2 boxes of Imperial 180 gr. Soft point in .308. one box bought at Kmart for $15.50 and the other at Crappy tire for $14.49. I'm guessing these were purchased somewhere around the same time.

I had a brick of GREEN ''SLAGS'' which I traded after
a couple boxs burnt , nothing I have liked them .
