So what do you have for 28 gauge guns and what do you use them for besides box birds?

I don’t hunt so I shoot skeet and 5 stand with a Canuck O/U and skeet and trap with an Akkar Pump.

I dont have a lot of range time with Canuck but its good for the price and the Akkar is a nice looking unit and works well and good fit and finish.

Nice.Have heard some good and some bad about the 28 gauge Akkar shotguns.Seems you like yours just fine.What are you using for ammunition?

Winchester, Remington and older Challenger all cycled fine its a bit stiff but its not even broken in less that 200 rounds.

No doubt, it will supple up after being used for awhile.

And I can remember guys working at the lumberyard for 55.00 per week. We sold new a new Chev for 2500.00 and you could buy a new Browning Safari rifle for 164.95 in standard calibres and 169.95 for Magnums. Back when making 10,000.00 a year was big money.

I got my first deer with this ammo back in 2002 (hence) one shell missing.
My dad who is almost 92 bought these back in the day.

Never checked to see how old this ammo is. But on the bottom of the box, it is marked $2.50.

A new fellow showed up at our club on Sunday. He had an old Browning(4barrel set) Citori that had the nicest wood I’ve seen on any Browning firearm. It was old and had the long tang. I asked him the grade and he didn’t have a clue. It had gold inlaid birds and complete engravings on the gun. Anyways he shot a round with the Tony ammo and I noticed the box in the garbage. Next time he comes out I’ll see if he’s willing to swap a box so I can add to my collection.

I can't understand why the price of 303 has jumped so much, in so short a time. It boggles the mind.

But before Covid, 14$/box of Federal #6 lead 16 gauge at Canadian Tire. Now, 40$/box. Same product, same stores. Nationwide. I have to think that 303 and other less popular rounds are following the same path.

There are a few retailers like can tire snd basspro/cabellas that are completely out of line on some ammo prices, 90 bucks for 303 remington at can tire....38 bucks for privi online...
