ya prices have gone insane these days for sure.
5.50 pre cartridge for my preferred 7mm rem mag load ....... that's more than i was paying for 50BMG a few short years ago before those got banned. Fortunately I bought enough supplies before prices shot up on reloading stuff that I can load up 20 or 30 boxes of each of my favorite hunting loads at a fraction of todays prices.
A friend of mine has a large collection of ammo from the 60's/70's. lots of 300 savage and 22 and some others. CIL, Dominion, Canuck ect.
I'll have to get him to let me take some pics next time i visit.

What cost $8.98 in 1967 would cost about $80 today, so...CIL Imperial .300 Win Mag ammo $8.98 from Woodward's my guess late 1960's vintage. Estate sale acquisition ammo fired just fine.
What you need is a time machine. These prices only look cute if you ignore inflation
