Pics of old ammo with prices?

ya prices have gone insane these days for sure.
5.50 pre cartridge for my preferred 7mm rem mag load ....... that's more than i was paying for 50BMG a few short years ago before those got banned. Fortunately I bought enough supplies before prices shot up on reloading stuff that I can load up 20 or 30 boxes of each of my favorite hunting loads at a fraction of todays prices.
A friend of mine has a large collection of ammo from the 60's/70's. lots of 300 savage and 22 and some others. CIL, Dominion, Canuck ect.
I'll have to get him to let me take some pics next time i visit.

CIL Imperial .300 Win Mag ammo $8.98 from Woodward's my guess late 1960's vintage. Estate sale acquisition ammo fired just fine.

What cost $8.98 in 1967 would cost about $80 today, so...
What you need is a time machine. These prices only look cute if you ignore inflation

Been reloading for a lot of years and still have so OLD stock :ROFLMAO: Recently used up the last of my IMR 3031 and price on the tin was $18.99tempImagefGKoxI.pngtempImage8QmxX1.pngtempImagemlOFTA.png

Cool picture.I have some boxes of 28 gauge ammunition like those in the picture.I remember when I first stated using the 28 gauge a box of C-I-L Imperial 28 gauge ,cost $3.65.

I see some other 28 gauge boxes in the back round of the picture. Are you a 28 gauge fan?
Yes I picked up a bunch of 28 from a club member who sold off all his 28 guns and found some ammo left over.

Heres a few.......

Yep Canada certainly did have a firearms and hunting culture that has been decimated under successive liberal governments. Pierre Trudeau, Jean Chrétien, Alan Rock, Justin Trudeau, Bill Blair, Marc Mendicino et al have done their best to destroy it since the 1970s.
EVEN Mulroney had a go at it.
