This poll evidently shows that not posting pictures will highly decrease your chances of selling an item on the EE. Post pics please.

As far as I'm concerned if you want to sell something bad enough it's not really much effort to put up nice pics. Photobucket etc is free , really there is no excuse to be had.

Two similar items for sale, I respond to the one with pics.

If you can't take a few minutes to figure out how to post pics, I wonder if you take the time to look after your gear. Doesn't necessarily translate, I know.... But that's what goes through my mind.

I'm a pretty frugal kinda dude, so i like to know what im buying if its worth 5 dollars or 500. Also as others have said its the pictures that draws me in. I know what a Rem 700 looks like , but i don't know what yours looks like. If im browsing through pages of adds the picture that is already there is enough to catch my eye and say " wow look at the grain on that stock, Or wow thats a nice gun for the money, or wow if only i had a real job i could afford that :p "

:sniper:

As someone who buys and sells a fair amount of items through various boards, including this EE, I can tell you that with no picture, you are effectively cutting your sale potential by over 80%. People need to see what they are buying and most like to see high resolution, clear images, that make the item look appealing. The old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" definitely rings true here!

No pics no deal.

We live in a fast paced world and I have no time for people who don't post pics and don't take money order.

I make relatively few exceptions to this, and it usually is when the seller has an item I really want or if I posted a WTB thread and he responded to me.

The poll results clearly agree with my line of thought.

No pic is bad, but "email for pics" is the absolute worst. Drives me nuts and I refuse to respond to these ads.
If you have pics or are able to take pics, why not post them???
It'll make the seller's life easier in the long run anyway. Not having to deal with a bunch of emails and send pics out to multiple people...

Never bought anything off EE but I browse all the time. One would think if they really wanted to sell something they would take the time to upload a picture that is worth a 1000 words.

Being lazy and not uploading a picture(s) might also imply that they are also lazy with regards to the care and maintenance of the item in question or at least that is how I look at it.

No pictures, no mobgma.

can you say google?

I have a huge issue with this. If you know what you are looking for it can help. But Google brings up what people label things, which is not always correct. And often brings up several things that are close, but still different.

As has been said, I have a hard time believing anyone doesn't have access to a digital camera. Any cell phone bought in the last 7 years has a camera.
The pole pretty much says it, almost 90% won't even read the post if no pictures. We live in a world of instant gratification.

But even then I want to see it regardless.
No pics ranks up there with people asking new prices for their used items, or more even. I don't care if you bought it 3 minutes before listing and you are drop shipping it from the retailer right to me, it is used.
