1 December 1640, ′′ There were 120 conspirators who invaded the Paço da Ribeira in Lisbon to overthrow the Spanish dynasty that ran the country on the morning of December 1, 1640 Since 1580. Miguel de Vasconcelos, who represented Castilian interests, was shot dead and thrown out the window ′′

It was 40 conjured.
′′ If Your Highness doesn't want to walk out that door, you have to walk out the window ′′
This was the phrase that stayed in the history of December 1, 1640.

ANGOLA 1970
During an operation in North Angola, the 2. th Platoon of the 3. th Paratrooper Hunters Company (3. th CCP) captured a large amount of War material, in this case the FNLA.
Until then everything was normal, it was recurring for Paratroopers to capture large amounts of war material.
What wasn't normal was, amongst the captured material, there were some Armalite AR 10, a weapon used exclusively by Paratroopers in the 14 years of war, only an AR 10 was captured by the guerrilla, and went to a missing paratrooper in combat
Although anyone who walked the field ′′ noticed ′′ that guns were not identical, only now after research from a former military Parachuteist.
It was realized that the AR 10 guns captured by the guerrilla were Sudanese version, after Portugal, who acquired the most Armalites AR 10 was Sudan, which in turn gave in some to the guerrilla movements.

Angola was a dumping ground for obsolete firearms from all over the world. South Africa dropped supplies to a group called UNITA, one of the socalled FREEDOM FIGHTER GROUPS, made up of indigenous volunteers. Basicly just a bunch of heavily armed bandits that roamed the country raping/maiming etc. They even had their own political party.

Other nations dumped firearms into the conflict to see how well they stood up under stressful conditions, used by mostly untrained combatants.

It was a very ugly war.

Yeah that’s no joke right there. They shoot people in the calf to incapacitate them. The IDF doesn’t fuc$ around. There are a few docs on the interwebs and the nasty injuries left behind. Better than dead I guess.

And it takes two or three people to carry off the injured person thus reducing the number of rioters.

IIRC Volquartsen supplied the units.

Korean Marines during the Vietnam war.

The South Korean government, under the administration of Park Chung-hee, took an active role in the Vietnam War. From September 1964 to March 1973, South Korea sent some 350,000 troops to South Vietnam.

The South Korean Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force all participated as an ally of the United States. The number of troops from South Korea was much greater than those from Australia and New Zealand, and second only to the U.S. military force for foreign troops located in South Vietnam.

Israeli Police conducting riot control.

They brought back the 10/22? They'd retired them to arsenal a while ago, because highly trained marksmen kept "misjudging" distance and drop, and "accidentally" getting headshots, instead of leg shots. Although I'm probably a decade or two out of date with that info.

The originals were bog standard Rugers, that were then heavily modified by Sabatti.
