Don't stand if you can sit, don't sit if you can lie down, if you can lie down, you better sleep, because you won't know when you'll get another chance.

Churchill suffered with depression his whole life. Called it "the Black Dog". And yet he became Lord of the Admiralty, Prime Minister, a widely published author and successful journalist, and (aside from the whole Gallipoli business, which was a serious farkin' misstep) an inspiration to his people.

Hell of an orator, great motivator, and a capable man with gobs of wonderful English eccentricities. Our species was lucky to have him.

A 'misstep'; guess that makes Dieppe a bit of a BooBoo.

Found the whole picture. The cowboy with the Mauser C96 was John Baptista Romo. He worked on the Hearst ranch. The photo was taken at the H & H Bar at 862 Monterey Street in San Luis Obispo, CA. Roma was born in 1876 and died at 86.

Judging by the haberdashery, aside from our flamboyant amigo, I'm guessing 1920's?

Note the egregious stains around the spitoon. Either accuracy is sorely lacking or someone kicked the damn thing over again.
