I see where you're coming from. I took that pic to be Cuba, from the dense vegetation. Turkey doesn't have a lot of areas which look like that.

I want to say that I went through the barracks in the middle background in '89. Its kinda hard to tell but I do remember our barracks backed on to the sea.And just cuz, Cornwallis in 44, with a steam traction engine in the pic.View attachment 840876

Lol. This reminds me of a Scene from 'Catch 22', 1970.
There were two 34 blocks down by the beach, next to Champlain Hall (Mess), dont recall the numbers but one was the meningitis block as we called it, which was closed up after a cadet came down with meningitis there, and stayed closed the better part of a decade.I want to say that I went through the barracks in the middle background in '89.
