The Ohio Army National Guard had very nice Remington 870’s - had an elegant engraving of the outline of the State of Ohio on the receiver ... ONG considers the War of 1812 ‘inconclusive’ - so stay tuned! Mind you - if they wanted to send the same boys that handled Kent State to deal with Ryerson “high” .... that would be fine with me.

Reading up on the DAF armoured car. Apparently the three the Dutch managed to field made for a nasty surprise for the German Fallschirmjagers. Reported to have destroyed numerous JU-52 transport plans as soon as they were on the ground. Interesting, but it would be nice to have this corroborated from a different source.

Those be Washington bombers, the Brit corrected version of the B29. I don't know if Lucas provided the electrics for it.
I sure hope not they would have crashed for sure. Lucas sheesh how can a country that lives with so much rain be so bad at waterproofing their electrics. To all of you who have never dealt with British cars count yourselves lucky.
Jacob Miller was shot in the head at the Battle of Chickamagua on September 19, 1863. Jacob stated, “Seventeen years after I was wounded a buck shot dropped out of my wound and thirty one years after two pieces of lead came out.”
This and the other shotgun with the folding stock are Rem 870 'Police' models. Brutal to shoot with buckshot or slugs!!!

My friend Dennis who did three tours in Vietnam had a similar experience. A few years ago, while washing in his faced his hand was covered in blood and he looked in the mirror and saw a grenade fragment sticking out of his forehead. He took some tweezers and simply pulled it out and put a bandage on it and went to work. A few weeks later he felt a bump on his head, guess what another grenade fragment was coming out! That one he had removed by his Doctor.
