When I visited Finland I was surprised to find Yellow Perch (same as ours) in the Gulf of Finland. I bought some real lunkers at the fish market in Helsinki and also netted some with a friend who had a cottage on an island off Helsinki. The Baltic is less saline so fresh water species, incl Perch, Walleye, and Pike, do well there.

Was that a 360 degree turret? I wonder if there was an interrupter cam to allow firing thorough the prop blades?

I'll bet there was no interrupter...if you were shooting backward on the russkie snowmobile that meant you were retreating...that is forbidden Tovarich!

Experimental fighter Kyushu "Shinden" Speed 750 km/h, Canard type forward ailerons, 2,130 hp Mitsubishi MK9D (Ha-43) super charged radial engine, 4 x 30mm cannons. Two prototypes were built and only one flew during 45 min but was a succesful flight. It was an advanced fighter.

Yes there are lots of different types to be caught. The neat thing is that if you own a cottage, whether on the sea or on a lake in Finland, you can net fish legally for your own consumption.

Odd looking bird. That's a lot of power.

I wonder how much the rolls royce engines in the P51 had. I watched a show the other night from the history channel on American flyers in WWII and it said they would do upwards of 440 MPH. Oh Google...

Found this one amusing! Japaneses tiger tank?? As far as I can tell this is 1 of 2 tiger tanks that the Japaneses picked up from the Germans ( could be wrong )

The Soviets kicked the crap out of the Japanese in Manchuria in 1939 and again in 1945. The Russians still occupy one of the Japanese Islands.

It's also amusing b/c Japanese armour were punny POS things. They worked ok for their island hopping, and in China where the Chinese couldn't field anything substantial, but they would never stand up to real armoured warfare post '41. Thats my $0.02

I can imagine faces of Japanese officers in '45 when they faced masses of Russian T-34s and IS-2s just rolling over their lines at will.
