I think that is a US gun at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, based on the old 12 inch on a disappearing mount in the background.
The German Paris gun had a barrel support. For pictures Google "Pictures of the German Paris Gun"

It's a 1931 photograph from a German archive, if you check the small print carefully.

Likely at the experimental range at Meppen.

Looks like about 12 inches of pure nastiness.

I missed the fine print, but;

The picture from the German Army archives reads "798px-Bundesarchiv_Bild_102-12507_Amerika_Kstenbatterie_Beim_Aschuss.jpg".

I do not read German, so I still think is an American gun at the Aberdeen Proving Ground

Post 1332 looks Like a French 340mm M1893 on sliding railway mount as illustrated in "French Military Weapons 1717-1938" ,Hicks, page 220.

Anybody else notice that the gun has a NAME?

It is called BRESLAU from the paint job straight beneath the Big Guy.

BRESLAU is now in Poland and has changed its name from the German form to something you MUST be Polish to get out of your mouth.

Sorry, any Poles reading this, but that is one language I just can NOT get my teeth around! And I have a good friend named GRZYBOWSKI: took me a week to learn how to say it without getting a laugh out of him for my effort.
