I'm going to assume (and hope!) that the person who originally owned the rifle when it was converted was *not* the one to put that scope on it --- it seems unfathomable that one would spend the money on the rifle and glass it with a Banner.
I do like the fact that the rifle shows some wear from use, and I would dearly love to find the original owner and learn whether the rifle had been to Africa or some other distant land. One day, I hope to at least get it up to the Yukon for bison or moose.
