Piebald Deer

I have a friend down south whose wife is status, she put a bullet in a piebald mule deer buck without giving it a second thought, not everyone thinks the same .

One cannot paint with too broad of a brush, but read the old accounts of when a white buffalo calf was spotted; different groups would congregate, battles would be fought, and this would continue until somebody killed it. There's a reason it is always a white buffalo calf... they didn't live to maturity.

Black bears have several colour phases, and cinnamon is often mentioned as a desirable trophy. As for odd coloured deer or moose, I see no difference between them and the idea of nontypical vs trophy antlers. How many deer were shot in West Central Saskatchewan after Milo Hansen knocked down his world record whitetail? I suspect just about every example of that deer's blood line are gone.
