Pimp your Glock

There was a similar grip modification posted on AR15.com recently. It made this project look ###y (and it really, really is not...) Wish I had a link.

Well done!

I can't believe that there are people that haven't seen a grip reduction and/or stippling on a Glock before - it's only been 15+ years that Robar started the ball rolling with these types of modifications. Some people need to get out more

I would prefer a little finer stippling myself, but to each his own.

As soon as I get my new M&P 45 in my hands, it's getting the grip stippled and the lower sides of the mag well are being scalloped for better stripping of a sticky mag.

Beauty is as beauty does, and that my friend, is a beautiful pistol.

I applaud this chap for taking a risk and trying something new. I don't particularly like polymer frame pistols but if it works for him then all the better. The rest of you critics should step back and not be so judgemental of others and their ideas.

There is a mod some Americans are doing for CCW which if done well looks kinda cool... chopping the grip of a full size to accept compact mags.

I've wanted to try this for awhile, but am waiting for a cheap Glock to appear in the EE ;)

I think there is merit for doing these sort of chops for CCW and personal fitting. The 1911s with the angled grip are such examples to minimize the profile...

Personally, I'm not sure I would chop the grip of a full sized Glock though. Wouldn't it be easier to have bought the compact Glocks or subcompacts(can't see myself getting a three finger Glock but it is cool even with a long barrel)

The kid that made that poster actually had politicians calling him names and demanding his 'product' be banned.

I kid you not.

That was the Birdman Homeboyz Nite Sites....I had it until my last HD died. Someone else will probably post it. He has made some funny stuff. I like his .50 Cal. made from electrical conduit and a 2x4 too.:D

That US politico freaking out over it was hilarious! What a dumb ass he was not to notice the fact there was no contact infomation on the so-called ad. What real company would pay good money for an ad they will get no business from.

You know if you look at the finished product it's not bad.

To each there own, I wouldn't do it, but I also wouldn't be so critical. If he prefers what he's done to it, then cool.

it's a glock, not like it had much anyways:D , have at it, anything that makes the tool work better for you is a good mod.

You're a little out of touch, friend: Glocks have about the highest resale value of any pistol out there. Check the number of guys asking to pay $650 for a used Glock when they are $725 new.

I like it a lot. I think glocks in general look boring. I think we'll start to see a lot more of this modding in the future.

Gal I know wants a pink handgun. :D

That's "Dead ###y..." (in my best Fat Bastard' voice:) )...Now there is a gun that I'm sure the Liberals would not find to be evil or dangerous. Maybe Wendy "Kookier" would even like it! :D

FWIW, I own two Glocks and the biggest complaint I have about them is that they get slippery if your hands get wet and it doesn't take too much moisture on your hands for them to feel like slicked snot. I may not like the 'look' of the modified grip but I can understand his reasoning in doing what he did......

X2......

i like the way it looks..... best looking tuperware i have ever seen. :p

and you can change a 1911 grip to better fit you, thick or thin grips, finger grooves, ruber, plastic, wood, checkerd, plain, and you can change the mainspring housing.
