Pink, eh?

Who cares what color her rifle is, if it's pink she wants then give her pink. Dare to be different!

Right On!!! That is the attitude we need. Not oh it will scare away the animals, people will make fun of you at the range. Few people show up with a lady on their arm at the range.

Rule #1, a happy wife is a happy life, and if wife wants a pink rifle, yay for me cause I just got more leverage for the price of my next rifle.

I think the point of painting a used rifle is good. If she decides that it isn't her thing, you can always clean it up or paint it another color.

I for one enjoy hanging out with my wife, that's why I married her.

Say NO to the Pink!!!! I'm female and I HATE pink particularly when associated with anything I consider cool.

She may end up going hunting with you but you won't get anything because they'll see it coming a mile away!!
You and my wife would get along well. She likes black, and shiny stainless.

But since the topic of pink rifles has popped up... I should talk to my cousin Ashley and see what her take on a pink rifle is. Her little bro is already a gunnut at 10 years old.... I think I might be able to convince a 15 year old that shooting is cool.

I got my son a savage cub, great little rifle. My plan for when he outgrows it is to paint er pink for my daughter to use.

My little guy has already been trying to lay claim to my BL-22 lol.I wonder if being a lever lover is heriditary.

The N.E.F. Handi-Rifle is left-handed if you use it that way, and you can get one with a synthetic (i.e. Krylon paintable) stock in various calibres.

My wife is a lefty, but shoots right because her right eye is the dominant eye. Before you go to the extra expense of buying a lefty gun make sure she is not right eye dominant. Stand infront of her ,and with your arms fully extended towards her, make a triangle with your thumbs and forefingers. tell her to look at your nose thru the trangle with both eyes opened at the same time. The eye you see is her dominant eye.
She also finds it easier to shoot righty because her left arm is stronger so she can hold up the weight better.

It has been done before...

Not sure what the problem is with a pink rifle...here is a candy apple pink stock I did a few years back and even took it out shooting gophers for the day. :D....it was kinda classy for a bit then I passed it to a fellow CGN members daughter and she killed lots more squeaks with it...By the way I was dared to do it and get pics so I did it...but I think it clashes with my hair color....

I am another female that hates pink too, it makes the gun look like it is trying to be cute and cheap like a barbie gun. That's just my feeling about it. If she really wants pink though, then it may be a good idea for getting her started. She could still hunt with it, I don't think the colour will scare away the animals.

I also don't understand why the colour would make a difference in her wanting to hunt. It's not about going into the woods and looking cute.

I agree. If she really wanted to go hunting the colour wouldn't matter. It's always great to get more people involved in the sport though. However, preferrably not so they can "sport" another accessory for the sake of getting attention.

Hence the 'half-joking' part of her statement and my decision to do the pink starter gun, rather than full-on hunting rifle.
