If one would buy a 44mg or 45lc is he better with a current production miroku Winchester model 92 or a model 94?

My Henry Big Boy in 44 Magnum with Colour case hardened receiver and heavy 16.5" octagon barrel put 10 rounds in one hole, at 50 yards, last time I went to the range.
The Henrys like the Marlins are easy to install optics on, compared to the Winchesters.

No need for optics on that gun. I really don’t like the marlin rifles looks and feel don’t work for me. Never played with a Henry.
 
And pick the 44 over the 45. The thin rims on the 45 colt are a pain in the a$$.

Lots of bullet options for the 44 too. I had a .45 Colt in a Marlin 1894 and am happy I switched to the 44 in a Win/Miroku 1892. The 1892 feeds much better and is way smoother. I had a "WWG Happy Trigger" on the 1894 and it was really nice, but even so I'm happier with the 1892 in 44 mag.

Perhaps you are looking at brass made before 1900??

If the OP is not a handloader, then .44 magnum has a better selection of factory high velocity loads - .45 Colt is probably limited to handloads and Biffalo Bore...

I’m a hand loader and know that 45lc can surpass 44mag when hand loaded
 
I actually hadn't looked at the actual rim thickness, but when I had my 45 .Colt Marlin, I used Starline brass, and when I full length resized it often the rims would bend just a touch. It was easy to tell because those pieces of brass would have a hard time getting out of the shell holder. In many years of reloading I've never had that happen with anything other than that brass and rifle combo. Now that marlin did have a really fat sloppy chamber so the brass was worked hard.
 
I've had my Miroku 1892 for almost two years now. 1200ish rounds. I don't know why anyone would go with a 94 for a pistol length cartridge, the 92 is perfect. The dimensions are minimized to fit pistol length cartridges perfectly. Mine is somewhat picky with OAL and bullet shape though. Smooth as silk with the right load.

If you like Winchesters, get the Winchester.

It wasn't mentioned... but a Marlin 1894 in 45 Colt checks all the boxes. And with the above post, a lot of versatility.
45 Colt can be a monster loaded in a rifle or suitable revolver.
