Thanks. Gonna pick one up today.Yes that is it. It comes with the foam inside as well as the slots to make the compartments. The foam is sliced into rectangle boxes that you can tear out to create the holes for items to fit into. You should sort of be able to see it in my picture. The lid of the case has a pouch built into it, it's behind the solid layer of foam in my picture.
Is there a reason the hinged locks on it would not qualify for legal transport?
This!!! I noticed those right away and took them right off.Better bend those tabs back. They might scratch your gear.

I bought one and found the foam was not thick enough to provide a good hold on my guns, they would slide to the bottom of the case. I don't want to use the foam cut outs as they limit what I can pack in it. I ended up putting news paper under the bottom and top foam to raise them in order for them to hold my guns in place. Other than that it makes a good case. Just check your foam hold first before you load it up and scratch your guns. Also beware of the 2 clips that hold the screwdriver insert in place, they could scratch your guns too. I bent my back so they are now under the foam.
Why dont you just take the cut-out foam of the shape of the pistol and cut that in half, width wise and stuff it back in the hole so it sits about half way in???
I did this for my 2 skorpions and now they wont fall out of place when I carry the case around upright.
Just by hand. Bend them back and forth and they will pop off.How did you accomplish the tab removal?

I guess you didn't read my whole post. By taking out the inserts it limits which guns I can carry in the case.
Buy another case then. Only 20 bucks
