This is literally the most intelligent comment I've ever read on CGN regarding firearms for home defense.

Have been broken into three times rural SW Ontario large loss last time next time Will be different now have cameras, alarms and Ruger security systems tired of being theloser

Browning Buckmark rifle/pistol sets precedence for this not to be the case.

Rossi Circuit Judge? Or is there something fundamentally different that caused it to be handled differently than the Buckmark?

I know...looking for reason in an insane system...

The Buckmark uses a unique receiver, with integral extended tangs projecting rearward top and bottom. It is demonstrably not a pistol receiver. It is not a Browning pistol with a shulder stock tacked on.
Apparently the Rossi uses a revolver receiver. I've not inspected one, but I believe that is the RCMP's position.

That would make sense. Too bad that Rossi didn't machine a similar tang or spur from the grip on the Circuit Judge...maybe that would have been enough to get around the silliness.
