Pistol or Revolver?

Metal guns only. Wheel or Semi, both are fun fun fun. I do prefer ICORE as it's more relaxed but there isn't much going on in the winter.
Preferably made in the USA. Come to think of it all my pistols are USA made, my SIG226 is made in the US.

S&W 617, 686, 4 x 929's , 41, Victory
A few STI's and an SVI on its way.

My wife does like her 2 Shadow 2's. I still don't get how her onegun costs less than my 6's MBX40 mags........

On the list for the future is a really nice 1911 and a Colt SAA. The Colt case hardened one that was up for sale in the summer was so purty.:)

FYI STI pistols have plastics parts, the trigger, the mainspring housing and maybe another one.

Been looking at the Alpha Proj revolvers, they look awesome but how is the action on them? I understand they have a coil spring not compression spring trigger. So it sounds like it would be very difficult to di reduced trigger pull work on them. Also read where the trigger pull is brutal. Too bad, i really like the looks of them, but will stear clear if they can't be adjusted.

Any thoughts?
Corey

You can get lighter springs for the Alfa's.
The trigger feels different in the same way that Ruger's feel different from Smith&Wesson.
If your really used to another type if trigger it might take some time to adapt to the different feel but its not brutal by any means.

I enjoy both. I'm not sure what's worse though, picking up my brass all over the range floor, or cleaning dirty revolver cylinders...?

An outside shoot in December will make cleaning the cylinders less of a chore and a better option. :>)

Off to the rain and the wind today with my revolvers in hand.

Take Care

Bob

Do you happen to know exactly where to get the springs? I resist purchasing until i can contact the company who sells lighter springs. From the videos I've seen the single action pull weight is in the 9 and 10 lb range. Definitely not spending the money if i can't get that to an acceptable level.

Buying the Alpha + the spring upgrade bring you close to a brand new S&W ( prices are good now day). This is a no brainer.

Try contacting RustyWood https://www.rustywood.ca/
I don't see them currently listed but that's who I bought mine from....

Which model were you considering?

All my pistols since I started range shooting years ago have been semi auto's for the simple fact that I find them easier to use and handle. At least a pistol has 10+ rounds in it instead of revolvers with 6 or 8.

Just pulling your leg here (Since I am a revolver person.)
I'm no Jerry Miculek but my S&W 929, 8-shot cylinder, says Jerry Miculek on the side plate.
Jerry Miculek can shoot such Revolvers 12 rounds in half-moon clips,
two cylinders one change, in under 3 seconds. (All 12 on target.)

Deleting (trying) because of Dupe.

Maybe, if you are only planning on buying 1 gun, im always in the market for good revolvers so if there is another reliable brand I'll look at it, but only if i can get parts for it. This is a no brainer in my opinion.
