Sig P226R with E2 grip. I am really loving this pistol a lot more now that I have changed the sights. The stock sights were the worst, the little dot in the center of the rear sight was so distracting that I just stopped shooing this pistol. People always complain about the stock Glock sight, they have nothing on the steaming pile of #### that is the Sig "figure 8" sights. Now it wears Ameriglo tritium sights.
1990's Browning Dual Mode (BDM) Pistol. Designed to compete for the 1990's FBI new pistol contract, the BDM was intended to ease the transition for police from revolvers to modern semi-automatic handguns. With the flick of a switch on the Left Side of the Slide, the BDM will function as either a standard Single/Double-action pistol, or as a Double-Action-Only (DAO) handgun which mimics the operation of a revolver. The idea was that police already familiar with a semi-automatic pistol could use the BDM in Single/Double-action mode, whereas those transitioning from a revolver would emplloy the DAO mode. A very interesting (but mechanically complicated) design for a very specific purpose, with many futuristic refinements such as a decocker Safety Switch and HK VP9-style machined "Wings" at the rear of the Slide to facilitate racking. I just gave it a new home-done Cerakote finish....
