Plainfield m1 carbine value

Tiriaq is correct. Plainfield barrels do not have skirts on them. Plainfield built this little feature into its (cast) receivers, so a USGI or an aftermarket barrel with a skirt will not screw into the receiver completely and clock up properly. The skirt has to be carefully removed.

What is on the receiver? Is it the little support web on the extended area for the trigger group to lock into?
Or something completely different.

had my Plainfield Z serial numbered M1 carbine re-barreled by Maneto97 and I'm happy with it now non restrictred.

it had a sleeve poorly silver soldered to the end of the barrel and was registered as restricted, but that's all take care of now.

Bought a barrel off of Maneto97 as well but for my Rock ola. Stainless, rebarrel myself headspaced perfectly. Great guy to deal with.
