Does the phrase "load of crap' mean anything to you? I have been around firearms for more than 40 years and have taken a gunsmith course, and have never heard of anything so dumb. Use appropriate glue remover and hope it doesn't screw the finish.
LNIB, but with the finish all messed up... I say that he misrepresented his pistol and you return for refund, but that's just me. I wouldn't want a pistol that some guy sprayed some crap all over. Doesn't sound LNIB to me. If you are not happy with it and he refuses a return, leave Negative Feedback.
Sorry man, I bought my 239 brand new and I wouldn't be happy with something doused in glue. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

The EE is an "At your own risk" type deal, so your only power is your Feedback. So I hope you can get the problem remedied or you nail the guy with feedback so everyone else will know. Even "bad deal" rants are being taken down on CGN... Buy/Sell at your own risk. I'd like to see pics of the messed up finish.

Negotiating your money back will be one heck of a trick. You could wind up without gun OR money with someone like this.
Ask what kind of glue this is and how it can be removed. Do your research so you don't make it worse.

Probably rested the pistol onhis desk or something with a stick of crazy glue under it, not noticing and then realized "oh crap, I pooched this gun time to sell it with out someone knowing".

Seller has now seen pics and offered a refund, doesnt admit he smeared it on the slide but will also pay for smith to fix, It would have been easier if he had just man'd up and said hey man sorry ill make it right.

IMO it's a load of BS; No one puts glue on his slide.... The only thing I could see is he tried using some crazy glue to secure a loose rear sight... ALWAYS BLUE locktite on the sights to secure them; using RED or crazy glue is just plain dumb.
You could try 99% Isopropyl alcohol to disolve the glue (You can get 1L for like 2.99 at a local drugstore. Some place it's on the shelves, some other you have to ask at the counter); I know for a fact that it does not hurt nitron. Keep it away from the grips and night sights vials though. If you're unsure, use a small portion on the frame under the grip. The finish will become dull gray (Nitron appearance when it's 100% degreased) but once it's oiled again it will come back to the original black. Use a Q-Tip to apply it to the "glued" location.
Anyway, imho the seller was not honest to not state this and you should get a compensation for this if you do not return him the pistol...

If it's nitron finish, acetone would be safe to use. I've used acetone on my Sig 1911 nitron and the finish is intact. If you're unsure, dip a q-tip in some acetone and try it in an inner side of the slide. Remove your grips before using acetone as it will melt certain types of plastics or damage the finish.
