Dexter and SilverFox,
I think that you may be on to something with your recommendation of a single-action. I would be against it if there were a perfect double-action that suited my needs, but I don't think I'm going to get the "dream gun" I'm looking for.
Double action is nice, a light trigger is nice, and 9-10 rounds is nice. However, low weight is mandatory, especially after my wife just held my Glock Gen4 G20, and said "Definitely not this". Therefore, I am now looking at the lowest-weight possible for her 22LR revolver, which forces my hand with single-action.
After checking the net, the lowest weight I have found so far is a Ruger Bearcat. The bad part (as for my ideal gun) is that it's SA, and only six rounds, but it meets the critical criteria of being light, coming in at only 1.5 lbs (24oz) according to:

Sorry to start this conversation over, but now that SA is on the table, can anyone recommend the best of this action? Still willing to pay more to get higher quality, would like a great trigger, would prefer 9-10 rounds, and lightweight absolutely critical.
The other Rugers available that hold 9-10 rounds weigh 2.5 pounds instead of 1.5, which is too much.
Edit: Have just posted a WTB ad for the Bearcat, and we'll see if I get any hits.
